Wednesday have won the FA Cup 3 times, the League Cup once and the Charity/Community Shield. So more domestic cups as well as Championships. Don't think you get out for being second. Most times Leeds were it didn't get you in the European Cup which was for Champions only back then. The old Fsirs Cup doesn't count inUEFA statistics nowadays.
As for attendances, I lived in Leeds in the late 1970s and the YEP was always complaining how poor Leeds crowds were in comparison to other clubs. In Sheffield over 40,000 are turning up in a smaller city for football every week. If Leefs got the same proportion of the population as a crowd as there is in Hull then they would be getting over 50,000. In addition in this smaller city 50% more are going to rugby than there are in Leeds.
Of course only one total matters. The amount of points we have.
Now run along, you will be getting cold stood in our shadow.

Zzzzzzzzzz.

You really do have a chip on your shoulder some of you guys about Leeds.

Having lived briefly near Hull in the mid 70s, there were just as many Man U 'fans' and Liverpool 'fans' as there were Leeds ... Why on earth did/do people 'support' teams from the dark side ...

These supporters as known as glory supporters. They follow teams that are winning trophies.
In the early 70s it was MU, Leeds & Lpool.
Funningly enough, you don't see too many Leeds fans knocking around Hull anymore. I am unsure why that is<laugh>
I hate anyone that picks their team on trophies won as IMO you are a bellend.
I hate plastic MU & lpool fans as much as 70s plastic Leeds fans.
Good luck tonight<cheers>

Being the so called 'Biggest' is always going to be subjective regardless of which team you support.

Leeds is like Hull was nowadays ...kids increasingly glory hunting. I suppose you'd have the NSPCC after their parents if they made them follow Leeds TBF

ps you don't see too many Leeds fans knocking around Hull anymore cos they've managed to escape! Only kidding, it's a good city

Erm ... Do your homework ... You're conveniently forgetting that we won 2 European trophies. I wonder why that is?

And we've won the FA Cup and league cup! Which I think adds up to 2 Cups.?
2 X Charity Shield winners; Also league runners up five times, one of which was lost on goal difference to the (proper) scum. We would have averaged well over 40,000 when O'Dreary was manager - If the ground had been bigger that is. All relative isn't it. Wendies support is as inconsistent as anyone's, this season being a prime example despite their lofty heights. FYI we still averaged 36000 in the year we were relegated from the premiership. Wendies averaged 24,000 the year they got relegated. What's your average attendance this year?

You're a bit like Spurs in what you've won except they've continued to be at the top level for the past thirty odd years whereas you've been mainly in lower leagues. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Haha, nice reply mate!<cheers>
Sadly though, they are still here but keep very quiet.
A few I know from school now follow Hull City. They are commonly known as ****ers:emoticon-0148-yes:

Very unlikely me thinks with the ongoing off field distractions - watch SKY tonight, it sounds like it's going to kick off big style in terms of the anti Cellino stuff ..

Have you got a replacement owner in case he doesn't show up tomorrow.
I know the guy is deluded but if he just walks away...you're screwed aren't you?

He promised to sell to a fans consortium, and then the next day reneged on it ( No surprise there, he seems to have a habit of changing his mind) There are some very wealthy fans eg Steve Parkin, owner of Clipper Logistics, in the background. I don't think he can afford to walk away, he would stand to lose too much. That's assuming of course he's been using his own funds!

I don't think he'll show up tonight ... he tends to conveniently disappear when things turn against him. Unless he's curious about what surprise might be in store ...

Enjoy the game, should be a tense atmosphere
