All this pile on for going upstairs makes zero sense. People clearly haven't read anything or have some agenda.

  1. The killing happened ages ago, not now, so there is no-one to find there
  2. We already had a look around the balcony and found nothing
  3. No reason to expect anything downstairs
  4. I have linked the clue of the smell to the gardens
Pay attention ****tards. Don't start creating false links between players that lead us down wrong paths. If you don't have a very good reason to vote upstairs then don't do it.

My view on it (just guessing as we're all in the dark here)

Player 23
Option A: I would guess Mito chose 23 in case there were a few guys joining the game late on. So he wrote his story up early and allowed for some late joiners.
Option B: The other theory is that we could have another 4 players joining the game, which would take it up to 22.
Since it's a hidden game I think Option B may well be the case, as MITO could easily have changed the 23 to a 19 if he wanted to at the last minute...

Choosing upstairs vs downstairs vs gardens
As for the other questions regarding upstairs vs downstairs vs gardens, I really don't think it's going to make a difference (at this stage i.e. day 1) which one we pick. If I remember correctly didn't MITO say on the sign up thread that it was a murder mystery type game that we have to try solve what happened, and we'll do so by receiving clues and then trying to interpret them?
I'm paraphrasing but that's the way I understood the game, we'll get clues every day and those clues will tell us something about what's happening. We'll have to solve those clues to figure out a way to escape the island.
If you look at the win conditions we have to find a way to escape the island AND kill the bad guys. So in my mind killing bad guys is done via the lynch vote (i.e. escape vote) as well as any potential actions we have (if there are vigilante/cop/etc. type roles), and the trying to escape part is done by investigating the clues we're going to get.

I might be totally wrong but that's how I see it.

So although I don't think that the vote for where to investigate is a major thing for today, I do think it's very strange that so many guys have jumped on the bandwagon I started of going upstairs. Some guys will have the same logic as me that it's a logical place to start, but there will also be guys who want to be seen to be posting without making any waves (staying under the radar), so going with the flow like this is also suspicious to me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking the purpose of our choices is about figuring out how to escape! Thought I was going mad!

Your last paragraph is important for me, why has it been so quick to get upstairs as the option? Lots of bandwagon jumping to stay hidden, or a hidden agenda? This is why I'm not going to vote to go upstairs, seems far too convenient.

Bandwagon jumping always messes things up by giving people an easy place to hide.

What we want to know is out of those who voted upstairs, which of them now refuse to change, and why?

But there are so many that anyone voting upstairs with an agenda will now stay offline all day and take their chances.

I am willing to change as I feel that we will get clues wherever we decide to go, though I suspect there has to be a point in choosing so the clues we get will depend on the choice we make. My own preference is still for upstairs as I believe that is where the crime scene will be. I take on board both of the points though that we have already had a wander around the room and that it may have been cleaned up.

Its too obvious in my opinion and too many adament to go there when we can go tomorrow after finding clues we wont get until tomorrow tonight upstairs by going downstairs tonight.

Hoky **** i think the chemicals are getting to me

I think people are looking into the where to go option way too much.

Something ng happened upstairs, let's go there was as far as my logic goes.

The fact AFC and chaos are so against going up there when really it's 1 in 3 choice is odd. I have no arguement against going to any of the other two places, we don't know what will happen at any but my thinking is the places to go are going to give us clues rather than mean we all suddenly get poisoned and die.

Im assuming there is more than 1 room upstairs so whose to even say we'll be going to the same room 23 died in? We might go to totally diff room and find diff info out?

I'm not suspicious of anyone who's preference is to go a different route but am suspicious of those that are pushing their option hard and not open minded about someone wanting to go a diff way.

Wtf? Thats my argument and why im currently going downstairs

What are you suggesting here mate?

Its odd that i dont want to go anywhere people are pushing for?

So it would be better if everyone just got on board and then if it turns out some **** lead us upstairs we will have no info to go on? Nope I think I shall continue to be suspicious of the overwhelming push to go upstairs, particularly as it's the only one of the 3 options we have already done, it got suggested very early and loads of people jumped on the bandwagon. I don't know if Mafia games just make me paranoid but I'm sure someone is attempting to lead the group upstairs rather than it just being coincidence that the first handful of people all went for the same choice making it the clear favourite.

Also, you realise you are the person who has pushed hardest for a particular route right?

I will however say that since chaos is now voting for the same option as me I might have to change <whistle>

Not at all. I've not pushed one person to going upstairs. Find me a quote where I have <ok>

You're the only person who has defended the choice to go upstairs. You haven't actively told people to vote upstairs, but you've jumped in to defend it as an option more than once.

With the risk of getting into bed with the devil, nothing personal Bisc, I agree that too much is being made of whether we go upstairs or elsewhere.

As said I would expect upstairs to have more than one room. Even if we end up in the "killing" room the "gas" will already have dissipated and I doubt whether that will kill anyone and we may find something we have overlooked. No harm in double checking.
