Yeah but that'll feck over a few 3rd generation locals will it not?

As a compromise would it not have been smart to lower the season ticket prices considerably?

    1)not punishing the locals.

    2) keeping prices down for that illicit pass on of tickets.

    3) tourists are used to being overcharged

Not saying that at all ... all said and done there's no way to stop the increases that's just the economic flow / pattern, they will happen. What will walk-outs like yesterday get, maybe an increase in prices to 75 quid instead of 77. Not saying it's right in any way but nothing will stop it. Football is one of the greediest, most financially inflated sports on the planet so it's only natural that that excess within the game, players, agents, managers, boards, will translate over into the fans' pocket at some point because it's the prevailing mentality. And the footballers, agents and managers themselves are some of the most indulged / self-indulgent people on the planet. It even affects the mindset of some fans. Someone posted on here the other day about Sturridge turning up to training in a Scirocco, surprised and disappointed that he wasn't in a Bugatti Veyron. What's wrong in him driving a VW Scirocco, more of them should be driving normal cars as it might signify that at long last the hyper-inflated, disgusting, avaricious economics of the game had been halted and the situation become more realistic and less offensive to anybody who realises the good that the money these over-paid, undeserving simpletons earn could do if you look beyond the blinkered unreality of the game at the lowers stratas of UK society or the third world. It's actually sickening when you really think about it.

    Depends where you're sitting mate.

The away section lower - the lower Bullens is ****e if you're more than about 12 rows back - letter box view. The upper section is fine view wise, but ancient lol.

The rest of the ground is alright. I sit in the Park end - the newest single tier stand behind the goal, which has the best facilities.

If its a bottom half team and there's not much riding on the game then I think you'd have a very good chance of getting a ticket for yourself from one of the many touts outside the Kop on game day. Wouldn't risk it for games against top 6 teams, though. Twitter is also a good place to check, there are always a load of people on game day trying to flog single tickets on there as they can't go last minute or been let down by a mate.

Away games are almost impossible because you basically need to have attended every single home & away game from last season to qualify. There was a potential a few years ago to get tickets in the home end of stadiums like Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan etc. but since they've been relegated and a lot of London teams have come up its ****ed that up.

I wouldn't recommend you getting a Liverpool membership because its essentially a con. I've got it and its ideal to get Europa League or Carling Cup tickets because you can enrol yourself in the auto cup scheme which isn't THAT hard to get into as they are usually where the reserves play. Obviously mid week tickets are a no-no for you as you're from N.I so I'd swerve the membership, you'd be paying £35 for the chance of getting tickets when in reality you have little to no chance of getting weekend tickets through it (unless you fancy watching the match through a letter box in Anfield Road or behind a beam in the main stand)

I dunno... I've not really thought about it.

There's a demand there for tickets so I dunno if higher prices just means the club assumes there's trade going on.

I think lfc did something with Thomas Cook.

You guys remember how odd the English prem thought that Klinsmann was for rocking up in a vintage vw beetle when he played for spurs.

It is sickening when you step away and look at the leeches but then you forget about it when match day arrives

Cheers Lucaaas...I thought I had a Twitter guy who did the share tweets for guys who couldn't go to games but then he went a bit apes*it about our performances and forgot why he had created his page lol....

Definately my aim though...I'm coming over anyway 3-6 times a year so a disgrace I'm not going when most of the expense has been paid anyway...

Should bring my toddler nephew but that would be cruel...he has to grow up in mancland...bad enough without getting beaten up for supporting us lol..

More power to him ... there's a current possibly Prem, possibly other top Euro league footballer who drives like a Ford Focus or something can't remember who now

I actually think the only way to stop all this such as vast ticket price increases is to start spending the money elsewhere i.e. lower league clubs but we're fans of Liverpool and Liverpool we want to watch. And if that happened those clubs would just become the benficiariess of the system at the others' expense. Unfortunatley and of course the club's board know this, it's a totally captive audience, people who will say they bleed the club, bleed red, that's the level of loyalty, it's not like buying a phone or tv. So it's a no win situation, fans are at the mercy of the the execs and the financial culture of the sport. It's (at least partially) the fan who covers the cost of the lifestyle for these ****ers anyway and what do they get. More economic **** in their worthless ****ing pauper faces.

I'd also ask @Page_Moss_Kopite & Billy (forgotten his current username <laugh>) if they know of any spares going, I bet they know a few people between them who have ST's but don't go to the smaller games and loan them out instead.

Small games would actually be better...you wouldn't believe how much flights go up to mainland when a game is at home...always an option to swap between Liverpool and Manchester airport as they seem to have them home/away a lot but still goes up unless you pre book 3-4 months back.

Ex Spurs left back Ekotto, drove a smart car and when asked why he replied "there is only me and my partner, I only need two seats. Have you ever tried parking a big car in London"

Its a loser but it's why I liked Klopps talk of earning your place as a kid..same with FSG's aim at low initial basic wage..but in the context of us it's sickining that FSG don't know that 10 quid a match or 200 a season means much more to a fan than 2000 to an 18 year old that probably will never make it with us

The club signs many multi-million pound sponsorships deals. If just one of them collapses because of the protests then the entire scheme will have cost FSG far more than the £2m it's supposed to raise.
