I think it's time the league set a price for matches. A premier league game should cost X amount regardless of the team or opposition, you are going to watch a premier league game between two premier league teams and so should pay the same price regardless of location.
Same for all other tiers too, **** the "banding" idea, a game is a game.

We'd see a decline in seat numbers and more corporate boxes
 
Ticket touting is another way decent fans get ripped off, the bbc highlighting the mancs as the heroes in fighting the problem.

A 5 live investigation has discovered that laws banningthe touting of football tickets are being flouted, leaving supporters vulnerable to dubious online brokers.

In a bid to clamp down on illegal trading, Manchester United has seized more than 1,700 tickets during the last two seasons.
