Yes it may be but then again,... one less punt on a player like Alberto or aspas or 20 others could too... just a conservative attitude would go a long way.

    Here, @Lucaaas ...it's something I haven't looked into.

I'd love to come over to buy a match ticket and go to Anfield but most guys here are part of Supporters clubs and quite frankly I don't like the over riding politics either way of the clubs around me. I'm also dubious of the old "meet me and get my ticket" thing.

My Sis lives in Mancland so I could combine the weekend (guessing far ahead that they won't change the dates so I don't pay a fortune for plane tickets when they find out a match is on)

So...As a match goer..how easy is it to find a reliable seller outside of the supporter clubs?

And as an option..How likely is it it you can get a ticket in the away section (i.e with LFC supporters) since from where I am...flights are flights.?

Yes..but that was my point...small island comparatively, which means supporters fill grounds and are heard....

And...We are talking of one of the biggest clubs in the world, I mean I'm an example of how a big club gains supporters across the country...and yet they manage six fans in an away match?

I know Spain still retains more "localism" than we do but it shows how fans mean more in our elite league.

Getting away tickets for both clubs is tough, as they never hit general sale and go to sth's with away credits for that season. I can't say I've ever seen touts with away end tickets at the game.

Home tickets different issue. Loads sell their seats and the Liverpool hotels on a Saturday morning have loads of st's being handed over to travelling fans. They then get them back at some pre-arranged meeting place afterwards - usually an alehouse.

You could join lfc club website members club and pay for the right to bid on tickets. You get to bid in July and November.

You can "try" if that doesn't suit to go for general sale which is next to impossible of course.

Most tickets outside that are sold for higher prices.

You won't just be let in to an away end as lfc supporter..

If you want a game at a championship club or lower however..... go to ticket office and pay

I'm not having a go at people who don't go to any games. I only go to about 6 or 7 a season because of the cost, the travelling involved & the fact getting anything other than EL, CC & category C/B tickets with restricted views is virtually impossible.

I just think its typical of someone who never goes to games to suggest either not going or just accepting the price. For some people going to the match is as routine as going to work. Some people have been taken by their fathers to watch their team and then in time taken their own children to watch the club, its a family tradition for a lot of people. Also a lot of mates go to the game together. They are all being priced out of it because of the greedy premier league owners. Its not fair that people should stop doing something they've been doing for years just because owners like FSG want to make a truck load of profit.

Yes I never go away. You've got to have away credits to get an away ticket on the website.

NI. (So yes and no depending on your view...where is Hash? Lol)

What I meant was Flights from here anywhere to mainland UK are much of a muchness.

If I could trust the online "meet you with my ticket" then I could tie visiting my Sis with a game....I suppose I coukd risk going to Sis and popping over from Manchester to Liverpool and seeing if a ticket is available outside the ground without much loss...

Just thought at worst there may be less pressure at away games.

How do the rest of you guys outside of Liverpool do it? Can you get tickets among our fans at games close to you?

Europa and capetal one or fa cup games v **** teams are easy to get but awkward for work. It's fine for two days off if you've got the time.

Yes you are right that it's a choice between x and y now.

I've been saving for last 5 years since my girl was born. Do I save for her future and also for deposit or go watch footy. £100+ travel is just impossible regularly

Anyone who can go of a weekend should be able to and not have to worry they are taking something off their kids or whatever other things they need their money for, I can understand it.

I don't know what the right ticket price is. I only knew that we were not far off everton (in places) but looking at the ticket prices around the prem this new ticket structure seems to put us up in the top top prices.

I've never told anyone where I live or anything.

My old man was the worst ever gossip. She'd tell the neighbours the shape of your **** skids.. well I exaggerate. But I just have a thing where I go the opposite cos she drove me mad with telling everyone our business.

Cheers...One question to you..I've a Manc mate I suggested doing the same and going to your game at home vs them as the tickets seem to be available and resonable..He said he went once and hated your ground.

I swear not a pish take..ive never been so can not comment.

I found it strange for a fan over here to turn down an opportunity to see there team for a fairly reasonable price...obviously as a LFC fan..that match isn't reasonably priced lol.

Anyway the only way to end the trade in tickets is technology and having people with photo I'd and name on ticket.

Season tickets have names but are never checked. I'd say a sizeable proportion of tourists from Thailand have season tickets in their pockets with local names.

    Just the way it is.
