Agree totally and like Spurf asks: who do you think, realistically , is the person for the job?

If the undertones of the question imply that there is no-one that is realistic who can do a better job, I would disagree.

Antonio Conte would be a good appointment, albeit we wouldn't be as attractive to watch (not that we play good football nowadays anyway). Koeman has impressed me on the whole at Southampton. Been a fan of Unai Emery since his Valencia days. Vincenzo Montella did well at Fiorentina before he idiotically got sacked. Thomas Tuchel has potential as well; did well at Mainsz and is doing as well as he possibly could be doing at Dortmund.

There are younger and more dynamic managers available who have potential to succeed at a bigger club. The oldest manager in this list is 52.

Could we interest you in a slightly used Brendan Rodgers?

I would rather have David Brent managing us. Seriously.

    Aren't they the same person?
It's like Barry Humphries and Dame Edna Everage. Same individual, but one's slightly more camp.

No undertones it was a straight question.

  8. Arsenal will suffer hugely when Wenger goes. The fact is, that there are very few managers in the world who have the ability to consistently top the Prem, and there are probably three clubs above Arsenal in the pecking order (4, if you count 'Pool) to ensure that Arsenal never quite get the manager that they would like, or need.

They have been extremely fortunate to find a good manager who has remained loyal to them.

  10. I'd love to wum the Gooners with the "Mourhino to Arsenal" wind-up, but even I can see that that would be pushing it too far!

It might appeal to Wengers sense of humour, if he has one, to move upstairs and have Maureen working ditectly under him.

Seems to me as though we are becoming a lot of peoples 'bitters' because we actually want our own team to win the league and not everyone's cute team Leicester.

I hope they royally **** up, isn't that what I'm supposed to think?? With a very sound logic to boot.

  15. Leicester winning the title would be slightly less Roy of the Rovers than Spurs winning it, that's all.

If you take Leicester out of the equation - and even their own fans will admit that this has been a freak season for them - then we would be the neutral's clear favourties.

Ranieri's interview yesterday was brilliant. When asked what do you think now the bookies have Leicester as favourites to win the Premiership, his reply was ' the bookies had me as favourite to be the first manager to get sacked this season'.

    Class answer.

  17. He seems like a top bloke, but you do get the impression with him that he hasn't really got a clue as to how Leicester are still top.

It's only a three hour commute to get to Manchester.

    Or Paris...

He has encouraged the spirit at the club that Nigel Pearson started last season. Just as Poch has built a spirit at Tottenham. Spirit is everything.

Commuting is the pits of the world. I used to commute from Ashford to London on a state of the art fast rail link. It's still ****. I prefer to work in Africa and live on site because even commuting by helicoptor is ****.
