http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...-as-Premier-League-ace-stalls-on-new-contract According to the Star, Victor stalling on signing new deal.....I know it is only a rag, but wouldn't be surprised if true. They mention we sold Clyne at a cut price....really! Thought we got a decent price.
1] It's the Star, so it's rubbish. 2] They may have accidentally stumbled across something akin to the truth by their own sheer incompetence, though I doubt it's anything requiring headlines. He's probably just haggling. 3] I was not at all impressed by the sum we achieved for Clyne. By our own standards he should have been around £16-20M, seeing as he was the new long term England RB. Actually, now he's part of a crappier defence in which he doesn't seem to distinguish himself too much, that figure is much nearer the mark, but at the time it was way low, in my opinion.
Bit of "sport between Saints and Pompey official Twitter accounts after Pompey conceded late equaliser by keeper. To be fair I think Pompey did get a bite from us, but then their fishing reference to having "caught one" sort of is an own goal
Yes, read that last night. It must have made the Saints media department wish they hadn't put anything up. Typically that the touchy club 21 miles away would turn the gesture of comradeship into a conflict. Made me think of SB3. Apparently, most independent comments sided with us.
Watching a repeat of the Arsenal match last night, it occurred to me what Virgil and Jose might think of each other's talents as a CB. I would think Virgil has not partnered a better CB and Jose's experience would be similar, although there's that Toby bloke to muddy the water.
I'd like to be surprised and see a defender win, but usually goes to a flashy fly boy who plays up front.
http://soccer.nbcsports.com/2016/02...ative-plan-to-break-into-us-market-will-work/ NBC talking about our initiative in the US.
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/29212/10155431/how-southampton-turned-it-around 5 reasons they thinks Saints have started winning. Wouldn't disagree although not sure Wanyama has been good for 2 months.
I have to admit I couldn't see Koeman winning MOM this season. I remember thinking about his double last season and doubting it would be repeated. Should have more faith.
It's what taking notice of any and every rumour that degrades SFC does for us. Strange how nobody takes any notice of any rumours of good news for SFC!?! Kipling wrote about Success and Failure and treating those imposters just the same. He should written a poem about Rumour. The biggest imposter of all.
Not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet.... http://sport.bt.com/koeman-is-the-p...elsea-job-91364038071008?s_intcid=con_BTcomHP
They just can't stop, can they? Ronald might well be a perfect fit for Chelsea, if he didn't already have a job that is.
