I think there's a lot of speculation around it and in the vacuum of info the hacks are going to make a lot of it.

The thing is we have to see that the guy himself has gone completely silent on all his accounts since the 26th of December.

That tells me he's been told then and so far rather than unrepairable the relationship is one where he's at least toeing a line.

I also think the one thing we can be sure of is he's going nowhere that will pay 150k per week so.... well I'll be shocked if we shifts him or balotelli either at that easy.

    <ok>

Big mystery this subject, the guy could be giving it his absolute all to get back for all we know and we just keep with the lazy, don't even want to play for us, drama queen jibes

The one negative in the secret nature of it is that these paranoid thoughts will set in!

Great post. What you said about anxiety and how it compares with fear of injury is absolutely spot on. Sometimes people forget that highly paid sportsmen are human beings.

Not sure if you have mistyped or I have misunderstood but of all the possible scenarios I had never even contemplated that as a possibility. Why would that even happen ? pretty sure everyone agrees that if sturridge is feeling upto it then it is a no brainer that he would be starting!

there is a world of difference between feeling a bit cautious about sudden sprints , challenges etc and hiding under the duvet too scared to face the world.

I'm not defending him... I'm saying that there's a lot of speculation and we dont really know.

Ad nothings come out I think the hacks on Sunday supplement was trying it on personally.

If the lad had any shame, I'd assume he may be a bit embarrassed at the fact that Ings has not been cleared to start light work outside.. Yet he's still complaining about his poor little muscles...

The guy had no knee ligaments a few months ago, but he appears to be putting in the hard graft to get back as soon as possible, would be a bloody miracle if he's back before the end of the season, but if he is, it, IMHO will prove the type of character he is, one determined to succeed..
He's a modern day Dirk Kuyt and every team needs a Dirk!

I do hope Klopp finds a place for this guy in the squad..

I said a few times since JK has arrived that ings is the exact type of player he can work with and develop given his relatively young age, i believe he will shock a few people when he's fit again.

in comparison to Balo, and questionably Studges and Tekkers attitude, he will put them to shame eventually.

Sturridge should take a leaf out of Luke Shaw's book when it comes to pain endurance, the lad has fought back from an horrific painful injury and is well ahead on the road to his recovery and will possibly be fully fit before the end of the season.

Fair play to Shaw and others in the game that ain't wimps.<ok>

Don't know with Sturridge... having torn my hip flexor twice in a year I can sympathise with the physical/mental effect. I couldn't run for 3-4 months after the second one. It sticks with you. I still get pains, 45 degree loss of movement etc. And that's without the pressure of being a professional athlete.

I'm sure he's doing all he can to get back, but that's always going to be framed by what's going on in his head at this stage.
