Went in the gym tonight, rowed 5000m on the machine, did 10 minutes on a static bike and did a weights session

Sturridge would be out for another month after that

One of the journos on the Sky breakfast programme was insistent that Klopp has already decided to sell Sturridge and that their working relationship is damaged beyond repair.

Sorry, this has been going on for too long and it's time we shipped him out.

Psychology or real injury? Well, if the former what is being done about sorting his head out and is it working? If the latter, surely, surely someone has to admit - either him or our medics - his career is well and truly over due to what seems to me to be a permanent injury. Reports were West Ham were interested though Bilic denies it, but FFS who's going to pay for an injured player??

And if Sturridge doesn't want to play under Klopp, why?

Couldnt blame him if that is the case. You can't make him your number 1 striker and not have him available for 95% of the season.

I do think rest of the season is make or break if he can prove he can cope and get back play a few games then get a proper pre season in place he might have a career here.

Problem is the euros. Knowing Roy he'll select him after 2 matches hell break down again and that'll be it.

Look the guys has been asked to train.

Whiners are now getting in on this and you'd wonder if Sturridge has been mouthing.

Most players with respect to sturridge can train and play without any issue

FFS all he's got to do is warm up, train a bit which is half stretching half jogging and a bit of 5 a side etc. If he can't see niggles are not a big deal then fine... You've been found wanting.

He's had oh.... 5/6 weeks to get 10 days training in. And failed.

I refuse to believe that someone can be so injury prone that they pull a muscle every time they train more than a few days - especially not a conditioned and very well looked after and managed professional athlete. Psychological issues? Bit like how anxiety causes people to be anxious about being anxious and things escalate. He knows he might get injured, then worries about getting injured and so feels the slightest twinges which are perfectly normal when coming back from a spell out because you're using muscles you've not used for a while. Do we still have ties to that Peters guy who did work with the cycling team and then us for a while? Get him in, pay him whatever it costs and get Sturridge on a different bed for a while to talk about his concerns.

I don't want to discard him because he's a brilliant player on song and in shape. Need to get him fixed.

People are going OTT over it.

All Klopp says is he won't be considered ready for selection until he can train for 10 days without any problems.

What's the alternative? Listening to pundits whinge how he's been thrown in when he's only just come back from injury?

Completely stand by Klopp. Sturridge has a lot to prove.
I would like to see him back into our team and help us to win something, but realistically I don't think we will see him feature for the rest of the season and if so, he will be off.
