Have seen the Isco rumours now, apparently Madrid have offered him to us for £25m as he is unhappy at not getting game time due to Rodriguez being preferred by Benitez. At that price it seems a no brainer that we would buy him but I can't see him being that cheap unless he was specifically pushing for a move to us and his contract was running down. It seems far too low for that to be there asking price, surely?
I fear you may have been reading old reports, Benitez has not been the manager for a while now, Zidane is
Lol there seems to be all kinds of versions of the story. Just read one were apparently we made the offer of £25m which was rejected but have gone back in with a £30m offer which we expect to be accepted. Apparently we want him now and not in the summer. And Madrid want to free up some cash to buy Lewandowski. Transfer windows must be an easy time for writers, they just regurgitate someone else's story with there own little spin in the hope there's will somehow be seen as different or as having some kind of inside scoop! I can't see Madrid selling Isco tbh, but then I couldn't see them selling Ozil either.
in the same way I can't see Bayern losing both guardiola and lewandowski in the same summer, but I suppose stranger things have happened. Then again there's the awkward issue of real's transfer ban, which even with the appeal must be likely to go ahead
The transfer ban could potentially see some movement that would otherwise seem strange, if they try and get there business done before the ban kicks in we could see some big money moves going on.
In an interview with Wenger, he said they will appeal it which instantly delays the ban by this and the summer window, pending the hearing.
F*ck all will happen this window. Don't you bells try and get my hopes up cos it ain't gonna happen. ...again.
Well that's Debuchy gone then - http://soccerlens.com/mathieu-debuchy-set-to-join-bordeaux-on-loan-from-arsenal/186824/ He's joined Bordeaux on loan till the end of the season. Big shame for us, we've just got to hope that Chambers can step up in the league now and provide good cover for Bellerin.
IS it big shame? he's looked pretty damn terrible to be fair. On current form I would prefer Chambers played there anyways.
I think so as it leaves us weak (in cover) in an important position going into the business end of the season. I'd much prefer having Debuchy and Chambers battling it out to be no2, than either relying on Chambers (who has been shown up for pace in the Prem occasionally) or Bellerin playing every game. Then in the summer we could get rid of Debuchy and have Jenks and Chambers battling with Bellerin.
