Already here silky ('chippy/glory' gloating as expected). Strictly Parker is the 'club captain' but I know what you mean and you're absolutely correct. This whole saga stinks almost as much as the Dempsey one and it seems heading in the same direction. Dissatisfaction all round and football on the pitch being the loser. Ah well, only 4 days to go!
Looks like the McCormack huff didn't work but the Club's bluff might have done. Blackburn have apparently accepted Boro's off of £9m for Jordan Rhodes and he's off for a medical tomorrow. please log in to view this image Source: http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sp...dan_Rhodes_deal_after_Blackburn_accept_offer/ Pity Rigg wasn't with us at the time or we might have actually got him instead of that being overturned and enter Kostas Mitroglou.
Rumors: Fulham are set to sign Brighton midfielder Rohan Ince on loan until the end of the season Belgian media are repeating that Fulham are trying to sign Anderlecht's quick winger Ibrahima Conte. Not sure how deal would look with FFP
Good news day week for Spurs. Moussa (the first) extended his contract with them till 2019 earlier this week and now Mousa (the second) is having his medical there today. Details of the deal are far from clear (well it is Daniel Levy we're dealing with) but we will at least be getting some money so guess that's good for us. What is unclear is whether Mousa is being loaned back (which I doubt) or whether they'll be sending someone else on loan to us. Midfielder Alex Pritchard's name has been mentioned and he is definitely being loaned out - to Boro (who are simply sticking two fingers up to FFP) or Brighton were the rumours before today. He's only just back from a lengthy injury though and I'm not sure that's where we want to be. Pity Adebayor's gone to Palace!
Jordan Rhodes move to Middlesbrough is off. Ross and his agent will now no doubt be working overtime in the next 24 hours to get this move.
Sky Sports News are now saying that McCormack is close to agreeing a new 3 year contract with us??? That would be a surprise.
Sounds like Tottenham's Pritchard might be put out to loan to Burnley, but the rumor of Dembele is we have a choice to take a player on loan from Tottenham as part of the deal., Rose or Vorm ? Clinton Njie is injured or he would have been a possibilty.
Tom Carroll has looked decent when I've seen him play for Spurs, not sure how likely it would be that they allow him to leave on loan though. Possibly more realistic options would be Josh Onomah or Harry Winks.
Sky Sport saying that there's an impasse on loaning Moussa Dembele back and the deal is off. All the historical stats predict that Daniel Levy will be back tomorrow - somewhere around 10:57pm. Seriously are Fulham really going to remain bullish at the expense of a pittance in the summer and a disgruntled youngster for three months?
At 23 : 00hrs to night the sports press association said that the transfer of MD is off apparently the problem was not the fee, reputed to be about 5m, but Spurs reluctance to loan back Dembele plus another loanee. Never mind we can get 300/400 thousand when he goes in the summer.
If this does go through at the last minute and we get to take one of their players on loan, I've heard good things about some feller called Harry Kane. We could ask for him.
A quick round up of this morning's stories: * Alex Pritchard is going on loan to West Brom. * The fee Spurs were offering for Moussa Dembele was allegedly £1.7m up front with add-ons taking it to £5m * This one is for rosc. James Tarkowski is going to Burnley for £3m – we offered Brentford £4m for him in the summer! * And a new name in the frame for us. Reports in Dutch papers are saying that Dutch/Moroccon 22yr old left wing back Zakaria Labyad, who is currently playing in the Sporting Lisbon ‘B’ team, is having a medical at Motspur Park today. please log in to view this image Source: http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/v...&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=telesporttf
I hope SJ can unearth a few gems for us in the Euro leagues. Anyone know what Labyad's stats are like? Ahem.
Is that because OPTA and Kline don't have a way of analysing attitude and you've given him the ol' C58 measuring stick?
Absolutely Craving. And harking back yet again on Allardyce, he didn't only feed the OPTA stuff (passes, headers, blocks, shots, miles run and so on) into his database. He also fed into it fitness data. And, - the point here - he watched them play and took soundings about whether they would fit into his set up. Fit in, in the sense of played a position he wanted to fill and had character (which didn't necessarily have to be good!).
We should get embargoed more often. For a team under restriction this is turning into a surprisingly busy (at least rumour wise) window. With just 10 hours to go, a resume of the state of play: IN Michael Medl (Loan from Sturm Graz - with option to buy) Rohan Ince (Loan from Brighton - with option to buy) Zakaria Labyad (Loan from Sporting Lisbon - with option to buy) Fernando Amorebietta (Returned from loan to Boro) Out Adam Taggart (Premanent transfer to Perth Glory) Jack Grimmer (Loan to Shrewsbury) Marek Rodak (Loan to Welling) Sean Kavanagh (Loan to Mansfield) Cameron Burgess (Loan to Cheltenham) Kay Voser (Contract terminated) Nikolay Bodurov (Loan to FC Midtjylland) Possible In (On Loan) Serge Gnabry (Arsenal) Ibrahima Conte (Anderlecht) Possible Out Moussa Dembele Dan Burn Matt Smith In Betweener Ross McCormack – out or a new contract?? And the best news of all, not even a whiff of a rumour about Emerson Hyndman. Edited: to reflect Rohan Ince signing Edited 1: added to reflect possibility Alex McCarthy (goalkeeper) (Crystal Palace) coming in for Joe Lewis (loan ended and returned to Cardiff) Edited 2: now removed to reflect Palace pulling out at 11th hour (presumed because their attempt to sign Rob Green fell through) Edited: removed to reflect Ajax withdrawing interest in Tom Cairney after the Club said "not for sale" Edited: removed to reflect Andre-Pierre Gignac (from Marseille on loan) after talks between the clubs broke down Edited: to reflect signing of Zakaria Labyad Edited: not on original list but a bid from Arsenal for youngster Ryan Sessegnon was rejected
