I agree, bit of a knee jerk from TF in my opinion, can't say I blame him he's chucked a few quid at it so far and got nowhere. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson and we get in reasonably priced players that can be developed.
I'd settle for Aldi or Lidl

Aren't terms like 'bargain bucket' and 'poundland' insulting to our new signings. Great support as usual eh.

Probably but as i said, i don't mind one or two players coming in from lower leagues. i just don't want to see a QPR team next season full of League One players. Because if we do and things go wrong, posters will ask the question why?

It wasn't meant as any sort criticism or complaint, only to reiterate that we are cutting our cloth accordingly, and tongue in cheek.
No complaints from me as regards to signings thus far, and I can assure you that my support has not waned over 48 years.

But we can answer that question now. We are trying to cut the wage bill massively. The owners don't feel like throwing any more money away which rules out players who think they are worth more than we will pay. It's all down to the quality of the recruitment - a mix of league one and overlooked foreigners. Presumably on contracts with both relegation and promotion clauses. Of course the risk is that we end up with a league one team playing in league one.

Yes it is just a shame that TF wasted so much money on 'wasters', because if a decent Championship/lower Prem player comes up we won't sign them.

I agree with this sadly. Fits in with what we see and whispers from here and there. Is it too early to speculate whom you'd like our new owner(s) to be?
I can't see any takers in the list at the end of this link.

I don't really understand how anyone can object to the owners deciding that they no longer want to pay Premier wages to people playing (or some not even playing) in the Championship. It's perfectly understandable and sensible.

No objections from me. If we recruit well it is a winning strategy, though not for the impatient. Nice to have a bit more transparency, particularly about what is expected of this team and JFH this season, though.

Under this policy, in addition to Green who must go, I would expect Phillips and Hoilett of the remaining players to be up for grabs too. And possibly Ned and Yun. And obviously ****ing Traore. Who else might be on over 20k a week, which I seem to remember Les saying is our new ceiling? It would be good to have a youngish, ambitious squad who all earn roughly the same.

Think Washington and Matt Ingram are big names for the market we are now shopping in and these are "exactly the type of signing we should be making".

They were both two of the brightest young English talents below chamionship.

Now this bloke done well in League One and JFH knows him so for the price of 2 months of Hoilets wages it's well worth it.

I'm happy with the new approach. Just a shame we allowed Ramsey to do so much damage. But moving on things look more positive
