Just had some reliable information from one of my many #itk guys that the transfer committee were the ones that wanted Benetek and Balotelli. Rodgers wanted to sign Bojan, Alli and Walcott. The committee never stuck to the terms of reference, Rodgers was meant to have the final say but they simply didn't allow him that power.
I hate that committee CRAP. they only saw balotelli as a 50 mil player for 16mil.. even rodgers admitted that. Obviously they were never going to buy rodgers walcott cos they'd not make money on him. Alli at 5mil looks a total bargain now but i bet they just thought he was too big a risk. <DOH> I bet they'll sign a bunch of out of contract and make klopp make do.
so br wanted, bojan, alli and walcott(never been keen on him tbh) and ended up with the ****ing polar opposite in balotelli and then benteke, we will never know but whoever made that decision needs lashing.
It wasn't one guys decision, it was everyone but Rodgers. They just didn't like his ideas and knew it would only be a matter of time before he was sacked if they kept giving him inadequate players.
Benteke is ACE. But yeah bojan and the likes of tello and walcott too all fit the rodgers model. no wonder the guy could never implement his plan I wonder who the **** decided ASPAS was the right fit.
I've heard the committee is working in exactly the same way still. will be pissed if they force Klopp out too!
Makes sense that the worst defenders were rodgers ideas ... what about lovern though then... was he signed by the lunch lady or what?
That akes no sense to me at all, if they diddnt like his ideas, fair enough, sack him and get some new ideas from someone else, dont buy players who dont fit the style and wait for him to fail with said players, seems odd.
Bet Ayre has an agenda to get a certain structure... and of course those ****e city scouts prob want to be technical directors and rodgers was i nthe way.
I'm confident Klopp has a bigger say than Rodgers. He won't get bullied into players the same way Rodgers was.
he's a serial killer after all. I'd not cross the mad fecker! I'd say john henry lined him up himself
even if he does have a certain structure in mind, it makes no sense to buy players that dont fit the team and wait for a manager to fail, if thats what he did then **** me, we really are in the **** big time, decision makers knowingly setting the club up to fail. madness! i would certainly think so, klopp has weight behind his name that br could only dream of, that imo is a big reason we missed out on so many main targets during his time here. klopp chose us over so many other clubs it would be crazy to try and tell the guy how to do his job with players he doesnt rate or want, he wont have it i'm sure, plus i'm certain all those issues were discussed before he decided to come here.
Ayre prob wants dalglish as DoF like when he was at celtic and when rodgers turned up first ayre prob put the main men off at first so that could be why we were told others were approached like martinez. Rodgers was never wanted by ayre i'd say. I bet Henry has gone and picked hi won man again... him ebing a shrewd operator and all that and took advice as to who's tops out there last summer. I hope he has discussed them Adn i hope ayre is sidelined. Mike gordon hasn't stopped the woeful buys has he....
