I'm lucky, all mine have enjoyed going to gigs from their early years. My youngest went to her first Glastonbury when she was 6 months old, and has only missed 2 or 3 since. She's 24 now and is a musician herself. I like to think her love of music comes of being exposed to it so much!

So I went to see my Doctor again .

She said " What's the matter now Jasper " ?

    I said , "it's a bit embarrassing , my penis is orange "

She got me to drop my trousers and had a look .

" Jasper ,I have never seen an orange penis before , what the hell have you been up to ! "

" Have you been to a tanning studio or something " ?

    I replied " No , certainly not "

    She said " Have you any , erm , hobbies " ?

    I replied " Yes I do "

She said " can you name any " ?

    I replied " Yes , I like watching porn , and eating Wotsits " ......

Anybody seen this news about to US sailors who have had to be rescued 9 times in the past 7 months ?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cornwall-35420983

Ridiculous. They obviously have no knowledge or pay no heed to the peculiarities of local waters. UK coastal waters are not for the careless. Notably, they go aground a lot. Yeah, I know a couple of sailors who do that. I won't sail with them anymore. It's too embarrassing, especially after I've warned them time after time.

I read this last week sometime or heard it on the radio. They should be fined and made to pay the costs of the rescues and any future ones. Careless once or twice but stupidity involved after that.

It's like the idiots who walk up Snowdon totally unprepared. Just because it's nice and warm at the base doesn't mean you should go up in flip flops. Fine them and name and shame them as total prats - shame we don't have stocks any more...

The British army does that quite often in the Brecon Beacons. Not uncommon for units in training to get stuck up there in a white-out with only basic kit.

The line that annoys me in this article is the one where it says the volunteer rescuers volunteered to come out, it was their choice!, I work for the RNLI, when there's a shout you go, we don't look to see if it's one we'd like to do first, there's people who need our help and we go, it's that simple. It's worth noting that it's not just UK waters that we volunteer on but those of the Irish Republic as well.

    https://uk.news.yahoo.com/video/sister-spies-reveal-secret-lives-142553081.html

An article that follows on from our discussion yesterday about the last war. Two sisters in their nineties were both spies (one at Bletchley Park and one abroad), but neither knew what the other was doing. Amazing. These stories need to be recorded before the last participants die. Doesn't hurt to remind the young that not all grey haired people walking slowly in front of them are boring people.

Yep, I know that KG. I know sailors who've had reason to be thankful to the RNLI in the past, A great maritime institution that, as often with institutions that do great work, gets totally taken for granted, at times.
Myself, thankfully I haven't needed the services, but I know you guys would respond if I ever did.

What I want to know is... why are there no RNLI boxes to put any change in anymore? :)

Just got back. Knackered but was great.

Nearly got arrested in the Sistine Chapel

There was a terror alert at Roma Termini and about 100+ arm forces turned up.

Pantheon and Colosseum were amazing. The Vatican huge but there were a lot of protests going on about the Iran guy being over.

The pizza and food are far far better then the crap we get here.

Found a weird cat sanctuary in ruins.

The pantheon and Colosseum were right up there for me. I was a little niggled by the wealth in the Vatican, but it is impressive.

Guy with a automatic was spotted on the tracks. It took seconds for the whole place to be covered in special forces.

Imperial Fort was mine, the building is massive yet made out of marble. The only thing I didn't like is Italian motorists are even bigger dick heads then here. They don't move out the way for anything, not even police or ambulances. One police car had to drive on the path.

I was caught up in a (thankfully false) police action during the time that the IRA were active. Tube was closed and we were all diverted away.....funny thing is that you aren't afraid because you don't believe it can happen to you. Sadly, not always true.
