Those 2 are first team regulars so less chance. If playing that game...

    Courtois
    Azpilicueta
    Hazard

  2. Hence my point of targeting Everton. We wouldn't stand a chance of signing first teamers from Chelsea, Arsenal, Man utd or Man City. It's unlikely but there is a outside chance with Everton.

  4. Okay, ignoring the five named so far (Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton) plus Spurs...

If you had the chance to sign three players from one of the other PL clubs, who would you go for?

    SCHALKE DISMISS MATIP CLAIMS

Schalke chief Clemens Tonnies has spoken about rumours linking defender Joel Matip to Liverpool.

Sky sources revealed on Wednesday that Liverpool had submitted an offer to the Bunedesliga club for Matip.

However, speaking to German broadcaster Sport1, Tonnies refuted the claim, saying: "That is a duck.

The German word used (Ente) translates to duck, or hoax, meaning false.

    Andros Townsend to Newcastle.

only a couple of years ago him and Lennon were the next big things for England now Spurs have sold both.

    funny how things turn out.

This is the problem- one fan's "obviously" is another fan's " no thanks".
Which is why no matter what the club does they always get grief from someone.

  17. True but putting the word "obviously" next to a player such as Vardy is crazy. Vardy splits many opinions regularly, nor is he the type of player we would ever sign (too old and one dimensional, plus he actually scores goals <laugh>)

Texeira wants in though, he's issued a statement with his agent saying they'll do everything possible to get the move done #playerpower

Klopp's short term plan seems to be add goals. He knows we need a recognised striker who will score with regularity, the best teams in the league all have one, Aguero, Kane, Vardy, Giroud to a degree. We don't have one, our current options up front are not reliable and / or 'injured'. All those strikers listed are supported by offensive mids who chip in with goals and assists, Silva, de Bruyne, Ozil, Mahrez et al. We've got quite a few of these. Texeira could come in and be the striker and Sturridge as well I guess if his broken nail ever grows back in which case Tex can revert to being one of those scoring offensive mids or play in a front two. But Sturridge is iffy at best in Klopp's mind due to the injury record. Anyway, we can sort out the lack of goals, or need for regular goals, from a recognised striker problem with one player in this window.

Klopp knows that the defence requires wholesale rebuilding. Several players need to go out and several replacements need to go in. This will take more time than he's got in January and he will want a whole pre-season with the new players to get them playing how he wants. Can't do this in Jan. Caulker has come in as a little bit of cover but he's far from a first team player at far from a first team price, secondary cover really who doesn't get a game when the kiddos are playing. Who knows maybe one of Klopp's team or the man himself has seen a glimmer there where they think he can add something over time. All Klopp can do for now is keep drilling the current defence roster and at best hope the plan finally sinks in and maybe leaves him a little less work to do in the summer window. At worst he will hope the defensive performances at least get incrementally better game by game. Sometimes we will need to outscore the opposition as against Norwich. He'll hope that these games won't be as crazy in future if we get the regular goal scorer and the defence is worked on, but they will still happen occasionally.

That's the probable plan of action and it's designed to get us the best possible position in the league at the end of the season and the best possible results in the 3 cups we can still win.
