More than they will get from him I suspect. Middlesboro now looking at Jordan Rhodes again as they have hit the Fulham brick wall with regards to Ross McCormack. I just love seeing both Derby and Middlesboro hitting the panic button. Calm heads are required. Steve Bruce thankfully has one. Wolverhampton are in advanced talks with Cardiff City over striker Joe Mason Reports linking Chelsea with ex.Arsenal and Manchester Utd striker Robin Van Persie.
Birmingham City midfielder Andrew Shinnie has joined Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the season.
That will be the 'calm head' that over the past couple of seasons has seen us miss out on our main striker target and sign a last minute panic replacement.
At least back then we had a striker target to miss out on. There doesn't seem to be much if anything going on at the moment.
I think you're being a bit unfair to suggest that it was Steve Bruce's lack of a "calm head" that was the cause of this.
Of course not, I was taking the piss out of Tickles suggesting Bruce's head had anything to do with anything.
Dundee United have rejected £100,000 bids from Blackburn Rovers and Hearts for defender John Souttar.
Nobody knows that for sure. Either way, I don't see much around & available at this point that would seriously improve us at this time. (putting McCormack and Rhodes aside). January is for the panic buys. We don't have the need for any panic.
Nope. But you think what you wish. Missing out on Andre Gray was not down to Steve Bruce ffs, like you think it was.
Of course it wasn't, he was unable to do anything about it at all, so it didn't make any difference if he had a 'calm head' or not did it? It was **** all to do with him, he picks the targets, the owner determines if we get them or not, if it was down to Bruce he'd just go out and sign Rhodes this afternoon. Calm head indeed, ****ing divvy.
Bizarrely the story is from Italy... http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/arsenal-considering-transfer-move-for-hull-city-star
He's signed a 5 1/2 year deal, there's zero chance he'll see that out, I'd be surprised if he's still there in a year.
Also, as if Alexandre Pato is only 26. He's been around for what feels like 15 years. That's a good move by Chelsea IMO. He can still live up to his potential if he gets down to it and keeps fit, the man was absolutely brilliant at AC.
