I remember going to Stevenage and watching a pre-season game between us which Charlie featured in, probably talking about 7 years back now, I went with members of my family and both I and my Mum thought he was a stand out performer, it's nice seeing him perform so well at the highest level with Bournemouth after a long journey to get there.

I remember seeing Charlie play for the Gills when we had him on loan (only 1 month unfortunately), he scored a brilliant free kick in one of his 5 games, and we wanted to keep him for longer but he wanted to fight for his place at Spurs. He looked a talent then and I have since seen him play against us for Leyton Orient and it always looked that he ability to play at a higher standard so I am another who is pleased to see him doing so well with the cherries

I'm sure I saw him play for Gillingham during that loan spell, in an away game at Aldershot. It didn't come off for him that afternoon, but as always, his commitment was always there.

Adebayor to Palace confirmed. I'm glad we've played them twice already as he has a knack of making a point against his (numerous) former teams, but all in all I don't really see how he'll help them. It's Bolasie they've missed more than anything.

Just saw Andros' picture on twitter. 16 years...wow. He's been a Spur since age 8. It really must be an emotional time for him so instead of eulogising the fact that his performances didn't improve whatsoever over 3 years of first team football, I'll wish him the best of luck. Newcastle have shown real ambition in this window, as have Norwich. I fear for Swansea. An unknown managerial appointment, no ambition in the window and the two players who have left them (Shelvey and Tabanou) took more than a backhand swipe at the way they were treated by the club. Lightening doesn't strike twice so perhaps there is something simmering beneath the surface at there. I'd put them down with Sunderland and Villa to drop unless they sign 2 quality players.

In a way I'm pleased that Wimmer will now get his chance as I also think he's looked impressive whenever called upon. He's much better in the air than Jan, although the latter's almost telekinetic relationship with Toby has been key to our improved defensive record this year. I'd say that a Gallas-type signing on loan would be perfect until the end of the season unless we can offload Fazio, in which case I'd prefer a more expensive, longer-term option to be brought in.

I'd be lying if I said I could remember that, OS. I'm pretty sure it was our second season with Mansion as sponsor if that's any help, the one where the kit was all white bar the logo in the centre, it was also the Summer we signed Bale and Bent because I remember watching the coach arrive and Bent walking off of it and then signing autographs/ taking photos with fans.

BBC Gossip Column has us bidding £18m for Berahino (Mirror) and trying to get Moussa Dembele in a deal that will see him loaned back to Fulham (Guardian).

Hasn't been on our wage bill since August mate... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...riker-NOT-able-sign-club-despite-leaving.html

Left by 'mutual agreement', which means we probably paid him a massive chunk of the £5m still owed and told him to kindly piss off. It's more likely that the Townsend deal has freed up some guineas for fresh blood. But as you say...who?

I find it hard to believe that if Townsend leaves, which looks very likely, we won't bring in someone else to play in the front 4. With Pritchard and N'Jie injured, we actually look quite light on numbers there. With just Kane, Son, Alli, Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli and Onomah, we can't even change the four around completely in consecutive matches, and we have little protection against injureis. Even if Carroll or Dembele could play further forward, that would leave us light in the "2". So I'm pretty sure someone will be coming in. Moussa 2 sounds most likely at the moment, though I don't really trust anything I read - except on here of course <whistle>

Dembele Mk II looks like very good option. Wouldn't cost much, wages easily reached and is familiar with English football, albeit not the PL.

Here's the token highlight reel. What stands out for me, aside from the absence of Darude Sandstorm in the background, is that he seems comfortable hitting the ball with either foot, his distribution looks both intelligent and accurate, and his understanding and anticipation of the opposition defence is impressive for a 19 year old. There's even a inch-perfect, Kane-esque header 3 minutes in. The only drawback is that Fulham are very much still in danger of relegation so they need all hands on deck. It's unlikely we'd be able to complete the deal until the summer, probably loaning him back for the duration of the season.

Ideally I'd like someone like Shane Long, Remy or Berahino if the price was right and Peace doesn't play silly buggers any more, someone with a bit of pace as that'd be completely different to what Kane offers but ultimately just having another option is key for me so I'm not fussed who we get, the way I see it is having a certain option to rotate/ compete is better than no option at all.

A CB is also pretty important now what with Jan's injury, I wouldn't expect a big name as we already have two top CB's with two good young CB's (3 including CCV) but maybe an experienced head or someone from the Championship could help do a job if required.

It seems that the Football League are responsible for the Dembele II transfer dragging on: last month they slapped Fulham with a transfer embargo for breaching FFP rules, with the obvious knock-on effect that they can't sign anyone to replace him.

Also, the award for the most appalling clickbait headline of the day goes to Photo: Harry Kane leaves Tottenham training to jet off to Madrid. He was heading there to film an ad for Nike.

    Also...

"Sky sources understand Fulham are prepared to sell Moussa Dembele to Tottenham in this transfer window."

Copied for the Transfer Centre page on Sky Sports site.

If this goes through, wonder if the deal will include a loan back option or if Poch wants him now for first team purposes straight away, the latter would be my preferred choice purely because I can see other options being too difficult to get (Saido because of Peace, Remy because of Chelsea etc).

To further add on my previous, there's a full article on it now:

"Fulham are prepared to sell Moussa Dembele to Tottenham before transfer deadline day and a fee between £4m and £6m could land the striker, Sky sources understand.

And if a deal is struck, it is understood that Spurs would not loan the France U20 back to Craven Cottage for the rest of the season.

Sky sources reported in December that Tottenham were one of a number of clubs from both the Premier League, including Everton, and mainland Europe interested in the 19-year-old, who has scored nine Championship goals this season.

Dembele has just six months left on his contract and his representatives are free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement, with talks having been held with Monaco and Wolfsburg.

But Dembele is one of a number of Tottenham's targets in the current winter window, and the club are currently considering their options with five days left until the deadline on February 1.

Fulham would be due compensation if Dembele leaves the club in the summer instead, agreed either privately or via tribunal, because of the forward's homegrown player status.

But, in that situation, the Whites stand to make less profit on a player they picked up on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, and the west London club are currently under a transfer embargo.

Dembele is keeping his options open and has been offered a new four-year deal to stay at Craven Cottage, but there remains slim chance he will sign the new terms on offer.

In all competitions, the Frenchman has scored 11 goals in 29 appearances for Fulham this term."

    -----------------------------------------------------
I've highlight a main talking point, it seems Poch does indeed want Dembele right away, which I'm happy with as we need cover and competition for Kane.

I wonder if this potential signing will affect any possible deal for Berahino?

    Conflicting reports:

On BBC Radio 5 live's weekend preview show, the guests discussed whether Palace should sign the striker. The Daily Telegraph's Jason Burt revealed the club would need to negotiate with Spurs, who still pay him £100,000 a week.

We have been continuing to pay Adebayor, and we will be continuing until this coming summer. Crystal Palace will be paying him 75% and we will be paying the other 25%.

We've been through all this with Piskie. There's no credible evidence that we're still paying him anything. He was ( is) our player and we can't de register him until end of Jan.
