Because a) we offer stupidly long an expensive contracts to our players and b) we hang onto them for far too long. Agger and Reina are prime examples.
Wow. I'm actually in awe. Great point. Furthermore - there are plenty of examples of players in **** leagues who are good players. Tex has played centrally for the past year and a bit but prior to that, he played on the wing for majority of his career. Even if he plays centrally, no problem because it means firm can continue as the false 9 where he has done a very good job. Agreed we need width but we still need quality. Firmino/Coutinho having someone else on their wavelength will only benefit the team regardless of the position.
Get a quality striker and their assist levels (just as good) will improve drastically. Plus, a quality striker would be more concerning for opposition defences therefore creating more time and space for our existing AM. I'm not against Tex, he's a quality player, and as you should all know by now I'd rather win 5-4 than 1-0 too. I just think there are more pressing priorities.

don't think it will cos they rarely deliver quick ball. I just don't think they are all that... hence the bid for a new one. Firmino and Coutinho do play quick balls though - they play on instinct. Problem is, they have no one to pass to. We've needed a new keeper, RCB and DM for ages - hopefully Klopp brings them in.
