At Newcastle he'll pretty much be guaranteed a starting place, and with the confidence of knowing that he should be fairly decent.
They'll still go down without a proper striker though.
Same could be said for Alonso and I'm still waiting lol. Mascherano not sure as he seems the type who wouldn't care which club.
I know he did. What does that prove. He is probably similar to Owen in its all about the money and if playing for a good side comes up bonus even if rivals of club you used to play for.

Mascherano is the type that would leave Barca to join Real. I'd even expect him to make the switch between Celtic and Rangers if the chance arose
Well the situation of him just having won the game and celebrating on the pitch to then be interviewd and the first thing he wanted to say was that. So I'm sure he has some attachment to us.
