This is why we should have gone for johnny evans.
Actually the two i wanted a few seasons ago were Shawcross and/or Huth.

Might have fancied a change of country. I don't believe for a second there wouldn't have been a Prem club in for him and we've all got the financial power to beat AZ on wages.

Whispers of Peter Odemwingie on loan <doh>

Past it, hardly played in two seasons and been ravaged with injury. Sounds like a proper Sunderland transfer. If so we're ****ed.

I feel like hurting myself. Is a DM really a priority?

Barrel and scraping springs to mind, another one ready to hit the ground running, I think not.

I may be in the minority here, but I like NRC. Strong in the tackle, good passing ability and great vision. Plenty of PL experience, so if he's match fit he'll fit into the 'hit the ground running' category. With Catts having recurring injury problems with his back, I think this is a good move.

Parady account fella. It was made up bollocks. Still, if we waste the wages we've freed up on a DM we don't need I'd hit the roof.

That's a shame, but I get your point about the wages issue. I think we both agree that there are higher priorities like the defence and a decent forward. I hope to God that the Odemwingie (spelling) rumour is bollocks!

    I'd have Debuchy on loan.

Surprised we haven't already been linked before now.

Apparently we have gone in again for Ayew. Offering 10m plus Borini, have Sunderland really lost the plot ffs.

Why are people so surprised with the Borini + 10m deal? It's January and you'd be getting a 'striker' who's been very good this season in exchange for a forward who hasn't and £10m

I wonder if it's the same lads who've been moaning about Ellis Shart not backing the manager with enough funds and shopping in pound stretcher.

Lel Reo Coker. Completely forgot about him. What happened to him? Where's he been last 5 years?
