It seems to me that the event took place getting on for a year ago and the trial is not until the coming August, that you have to ask is the legal system fit for purpose. These people were caught on CCTV and will surely be found responsible, and one of the group has received advice probably that tells him he will get a lesser sentence if he pleads guilty. One can only assume that Wolverhampton Crown Court is overloaded with cases, which if you look at the local newspapers is quite likely.

My first thought was that the older thugs pressured the youngest to admit to the assault in the hope that it increased their chances of getting off, or a lesser sentence. Just because the 14 year old has admitted to it doesn't mean that he did it.

Of course, I speak without any information at all.

That's the trouble with the long term injuries they are all too often followed up with lots of other niggly injuries as the body over compensates. Neither Joel nor Tommy have had straightforward injuries or recoveries. I would be amazed if either player gets back to where they were.

Oh no.... not UGT moaning
I'm no longer up there, but we did like a good witter too...
I am, and I suspect I may be affected...
Nor am I known for my placid demeanour on a match day, I am far more reserved (my truer nature, to be honest I tend to let it all out at the match) on these boards.
My friends and I may very well be moaning. We shall see.
