This transfer window has made me feel that Deeney will leave in the summer. Already, despite his displays which have been fantastic, you can see the agonising decisions that will have to be made when you look at the player roster, the type of players and the best formation. Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.
Interesting eh... TD is a real hard worker but I have always seen him as a crafter playing out of his skin..... which means he is liable to injury our burn out at some point.
His 'Englishness' is too valuable-the Pozzo's have already found UK players are too expensive, or not worth the price asked.
Looks like we are struggling to keep our English quota, so I do not think TD leaving this summer is likely.
If we get any more non home grown players someone will have to leave. Who? Belkalem, Ekstrand? Berghuis on loan? Renege will probably be released as he isn't in the squad.
Ekstrand fit enough to make the squad. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/14248185.Ekstrand_makes_Hornets_revised_Premier_League_squad/
Now I am one of those that like red shorts, but even I agree that this look is not good!!! Glad we haven't seen it this season in the front side!!!
Club have announced the arrangements for the sale of tickets for the dirty Leeds game and it's a bit strange. As before we have to offer the norvern monkeys the whole of the Vic Road end and that means people in the family stand having to be accommodated elsewhere. But this time all tickets will be issued as paper tickets and not loaded onto the ST card - they say is because of feedback. But I assume that there were issues for the people in the family stand as they had to have tickets issued for emails with the replacement seat number. Oh well, mine are ordered.
The queuing for the GT stand was mad against Newcastle - loads of us got in at least 15 minutes late but not sure what the issue was. Incidentally, a huge thanks to the owners on the pricing policy again. They have been incredible this season.
I assume it was because of the moving of the people from the family stand. But it's strange because there were a lot of gaps that day - I think the problem was people from the family stand tried to use their ST cards and they did not work so they had to then go and pick their tickets and that is a nightmare. That is why all tickets will be issued as paper tickets - oh well, another lesson learnt
Affleck is suggesting Bournemouth are the new Luton.. http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/02/how-and-why-bournemouth-have-become-watfords-new-rivals/ We might not like them but no-one will replace the Hatters!
Good news from the club if you bought your season ticket at the early bird price you will be able to renew at the same price.
Well, on the face of it perhaps... but being asked to buy a new season ticket when you don't actually know where we'll be sitting, having had the seat for 20 years and you're swapping an aisle seat (specifically chosen with good reason for all concerned, not just us) for middle of row and possibly lose the people around us then it starts to fray a bit. A little more thought and some flexibility and I think the club will have it as good as they can. If it's a rigid policy then it will be a missed opportunity.
Looks like it's a difficult situation in the Upper Sir GT Fez - I really hope you can get some flexibility.
