Yeah I did, don't you remember the Bradford game at BP?

    I see nothing wrong here.

I can understand people getting annoyed, but that's the rozzers for you.

BTW, I thought we only had an allocation of about 2700?

I thought their fans seemed fairly phlegmatic on that message board about the whole thing, considering. As steverico alludes to, when it was v Bradford and we were evicted from the South Stand, it sparked a riot (literally). As for the game itself, I can see us taking 3500 or so, but I'm not sure where they got the 5000 from

Absolutely, but it's different. People have to give up seats for many cup games, it's to do with allocation. Bradford was a league game, season tickets were valid.

They have an extra 1800 tickets available on top of their season average. Everyone will get a ticket. A season ticket doesn't cover cup games. The club pre-warned supporters that they may be moved for some games. The club are trying to make some money but not at the cost if their own support.

It appears they only turn out in numbers when it's free to get in.

They've done the same for regular season fixtures when the way following has out sold the home following (Sheff Wednesday and Sheff United being two examples). As we've already sold three times what they have it seems like another sensible decision.

I can see why they're are annoyed at having to vacate their season ticket seats but the same would happen to some of our east stand and/or north stand season ticket holders if we drew one of the big boys and they wanted their full allocation.

Ultimately I think this will be a fuss about nothing, they couldn't get a gate over 8,000 when they gave tickets away for free so I'd be amazed if they sell out their allocated tickets for this one.

Great news for non-season ticket holders that fancied this game though, looks like there'll be plenty on general sale on Monday.

Why would you not be happy about this? It means more Hull City fans can attend. Given Bury's attendances (even when tickets are free) they won't need more tickets than they are already allocated so it suits everyone.

If they are bothered about moving seats then tough ****, it happens. We took Man City season ticket seats for our league cup game and they didn't moan about it, they just bought a ticket elsewhere.

Sometimes fans are idiots and the club has to act in their best interests, if they restricted our tickets and left thousands of empty seats so Bury fans could sit where they wanted then they'd miss out on thousands in revenue, money a club like Bury cannot turn down.

Kinell that's actually a reasonable and sensible approach by Bury.

At a guess 2,700 will be the capacity of one of the stands, should we sell that we'll start selling tickets in the other stand. If we don't sell that they'll make the other stand pay on the gate for Bury supporters.

Which balloon at our end suggested we'd take 5000?

The fact that we've announced the allocation as 2,700 suggests that's all we've agreed to take so far, I suspect Bury are just leaving their options open on the balance, in case we find we can sell more.

Its not likely to be filled up with Bury fans thats for sure. If they reduced the prices a bit we'd probably get close to 5k too, but this is just sensible planning from Bury imo.

If we dont get close, and they dont sell many to home fans, nowt lost. If we don't get close and theres a surge for home fans, they can change.

    Sensible i think.
Id like to think that if we get through then draw Liverpool or Manchester Utd that we,d then give up the full north stand the sections E1 E2 and 3 to maximise the crowd.

If we get Liverpool or Man United we'd fill the ground with our own fans, we wouldn't give up anything.
