For what it's worth, seeing reports here in Spain that we're back in for Barca's Sandro Ramirez. Reported release clause, €12mill. I think the buyback clause was a sticking point last time, though!.
Desperation is starting to rear it's (balding but distinguished) head in the 'Thanks for that, Brian' camp. Today, I heard that Sassuolo (yes, before the transfer window I'd never heard of them) had bought striker Marcello Trotta (who I vaguely recall playing for Fulham, Brentford and Peckham). Any normal football supporter of any normal PL club would have less than zero interest in such a report and quite rightly so.
However, as a Spurs fan of 46 years and a tortured soul as a result, my immediate thought was - "We're going to sign Domenico Berardi, the most talented young striker in the known Universe." Deep in my soul, I know we're not going to do any such thing. Nor are we about to announce Jackson Martinez, Alvaro Morata, Sandro Rodriguez or any other exotically named back-up for young Harry. At best I expect to see us sign Andy Booth or Ian Moores or their less talented off-spring or distant relatives (including any still living parents), to relive past glories .
However, at no other club does the Transfer Window become such a wild and crazy ride. It's better than watching '2001 A Space Oddity' on acid...and as good for your health. Still, there's only just over 10 days left of it to play out, so plenty of time...plenty of time...Oh God!!
Is that the David Bowie remake of the film, or is the acid that good?... It's better than watching '2001 A Space Oddity' on acid......
Sounds like a done deal to meAgain, for what it's worth, the two ex Barca players that Pochettino was photographed with at our training ground - Puyol & De la Pena, just happen to be Ramirez's agents!...

It's said (?) that he has a buyout clause, presumably they can't insist if that amount is offered?Who knows? Apparently, the interest is real, but the sticking point has been Barca's demand of a buy back clause. Standard Barca tactics.

I quite liked Ian Moores!
@remembercolinlee will be along shortlyI think my memory of Ian Moores is of the hat-trick he scored in 9-0 v Bristol Rovers but that was about half the goals he scored for us and even that day he was overshadowed!
