TBH, my comments are not meant for you two There are certain people who go on about footballers "game intelligence" and not being good enough who also go on about how Klopp will make you contenders (I am pretty sure he will in time) but, never comment on the fact that the manager seems to like/prefer some of the players they slate.
Let's just say that if Skirtle, Milner, Lallana or Benteke are starters next season (or get new contracts ) some on here will blow a gasket
On a more realistic point, I think Long would fit a Klopp side quite well for the right price (not as the main striker or even starter), he can run all day long and is a real nuisance to defenders. He is also quite an effective striker.
He is of an age now where you wont see much improvement from him unless your whole defensive structure changes to suit him (sat very deep), I don't see that happening nor do I think it should.
1. Shane longs agent writes a column. ... shock his player gets the same old link resurfacing after Southampton get Austin. ...simple really. Just agent spin. 2. Westham 10 Mil for Balotelli. ... west ham injuries..... wait for the denial. It will come fast. I did say there's a suckered out there didn't I? I'd be frigging shocked if they have not learned their lesson.
West Ham with a strike force of injury prone Carroll and lazy Balotelli, the prem will be quaking in its boots
From sky.... We reported in Transfer Centre yesterday that Liverpool were monitoring Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams, but reports from the Sunday Express this morning say he has poised to sign a new deal with the La Liga club. The 21-year-old striker has also attracted interest from Real Madrid, Arsenal andAtletico but the new deal is rumoured to be keeping him at the Basque club until 2020. Williams has scored ten goals for Bilbao so far this season, and has a €20million release clause in his current contract .... Translate. .. we we told you one thing but seeing a paper has said the complete opposite just forget we ever told you OK?
Interesting hearing Rodgers talk in goals on Sunday. All about how the transfer committee worked etc often he he would get a list and if his preferred choice wasn't on that list then he just had to pick someone else that was. He had to take one as it was that or nothing and f you had no one in that position then you needed to buy. It was a group decision he didn't have final say on transfers.
I pointed out many times in the past that this is how it worked e.g. with Balotelli if you take him or take nothing and you've got no fit strikers you're a coward and a traitor to not try to make him work
If you've no knowledge like rodgers how can you.... Clearly lallana lovern etc were on a list and he picked them. It's swings and roundabouts but for me there's 2 or 3 guys who should be gone at top level in lfc.
Brendan Rodgers discusses Mario Balotelli, Alexis Sanchez and Liverpool transfers By Lyall Thomas please log in to view this image <imgsrc="http://video.skysports.com/J3ODE5MDE6qZLjIaGBiyCS6Salt="Brendan Rodgers spoke about why Liverpool decided to sign Mario Balotelli" Brendan Rodgers spoke about why Liverpool decided to sign Mario Balotelli Brendan Rodgers has admitted he did not want Liverpool to sign Mario Balotelli and it was a decision that "cost" the club. Rodgers believed the Reds, who recruit via an internal committee, would be signing Alexis Sanchez to replace Luis Suarez, whose departure he describes as a "huge blow". The plan was for Rickie Lambert to add a different option but Rodgers believes extra pressure was put on the former Southampton striker as Balotelli struggled to make an impact. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...otelli-alexis-sanchez-and-liverpool-transfers
