Rather than answer the question about what has TF done for us, I'd like to pose a question: Where do you think we'd be without him?

A similar position with a far cheaper, younger squad on the pitch and exactly the same infrastructure on it.

He has written off debt which to me shows that money how every large the amounts is as important than the club. Of course his business record has been exposed but Imaz said that from day one. Yes the media attention has given him his kudos but with that it has bitten him on the Arse a few times.

The least we can do is support the club as out part of the deal

That is hard to answer. If you want to criticise TF for all that has happened you could say that the club would have been packed full of young up and coming talent with a stable manager and good infrastructure. However, we know from other clubs that is not always the case, and often clubs continue to slide further down the divisions. I'm not so sure we wouldn't be a lot worse off now if he had never arrived, but without memories of Man City away, and Wembley. Let's face it, unless you support one of the big Premier League clubs, following a football team is all about highs and lows, and we have to accept that whatever decisions are made at the top, QPR will have highs and lows.

Difficult now, as it all looks rather bleak, but it has been worse in the past, and I believe it will be better in the future, which doesn't help in the present other than to give hope. We will be back in the Premier League one day, and I hope when we are, we will be a lot stronger and ready for the challenge.

That's exactly the kind of balanced response that I was hoping for and coincides entirely with my view. For all you TF bashers out there, and I can understand to an extent your opinions, be careful what you wish for. Massive Leeds is an example.

I think the sale of Austin for much less than his value is the first time I can honestly say that the blame for a small part of the comedy of errors that is QPR can be pinned squarely on TF. Other than that he has behaved pretty much like any enthusiastic supporter would have done if they had the money to splurge on their football club and while that might not make him the best businessman it does mean the rest have us have very little reason to be critical of him. Despite all the wasted money he (and we) have been incredibly unlucky and the remarkable turnaround at Leicester shows how fine the margins are between success and failure.

He shouldn't act like an enthusiastic football fan. He should act like a chairman of a business and football club.

You are right because without him we could be a club selling our best players, getting relegated and no doubt be in another relegation battle. A club with crap uninterested players and a board full of the cast from the muppet show...Oh wait that's us now. If TF left we would always find another buyer

I think we need to judge Tony Fernandes over 10-15 years.

Too easy to forget the positive stuff he's done for the club.

No better chairman since Jim Gregory.

What positive stuff? He took over a newly promoted club and has spent £250m to make us a bottom half second tier club with a ludicrous wage bill with facilities as bad as when he arrived.

Feel free to fill in the gaps. What good has the bloke done? I'm not doubting he has some good intentions though I think his primary motive was to be a marketing tool for his other businesses, but what tangible benefit has TF's influence had for QPR?
