From mid table premier league to championship relegation fight....well done tone....bankrupt us as well!
He put his money into the club in good faith and supported every manager in financing their selection of players. He's invested in the club infrastructure, and an update of the current premises - with the stated desire to move elsewhere when a viable opportunity arises. He's financed the professional and legal services to take on those in authority who have sought to pull the club down - quietly defending the club against the FFP protagonists desperate to attack a weaker target than Europe's elite clubs (whose might would crush them). Similarly in financing the expertise to explore the nightmare that is local planning consent, to develop a training academy as the nursery ground for future talent. He's used his business acumen to invite others to invest and develop a broader global awareness of QPR. And of course there's Wembley. Saturday 24 May 2014. What a great day out! I can finally say that I've seen my team lift the trophy at a Wembley final. I never thought I'd say that. Unbelievable. From the very brink of elimination!
Interesting to read recently that QPR's home record in the Championship tells a different story. Played 59 Won 34 Drew 20 Lost 5
My 'ratios' are based on a much shorter timeframe. 'Losses' during the Ramsey period of the Championship and 'Draws' since JFH took over.
Think the OP belongs in Ted's thread not here where rational people can highlight it for the tosh it is.
I nominate this for post of the year !! TF has made numerous mistakes, but, I believe he always had the clubs best interests at heart. By writing off the debt, he took responsibility for his mistakes. And remained to help rebuild.
Not quite certain how these figures have been arrived at. Not that they have any bearing on whether TF has been good for the club or not. Under Fernandes this is our second season in the Championship. Therefore we have played 35/36 games at Loftus Road, not 59. I think they must be including the Warnock promotion season! I believe that our support is nearly split in half as to support of TF. The pro section believe that he has good intentions & has personally financed the club. The anti camp believe that he took over the club to promote/introduce Air Asia/Tune Group in the UK & with the intention of making billions by developing a new ground in an Old Oak scenario. We will only find out for sure when the contract for Old Oak is awarded.
Put it this way - West Ham wouldn't touch him with a bargepole before he bought us, look at them now and compare...
He took over a club built on sand and decided to invest in hundreds of tonnes of sand rather than some bricks. Should stick to trying to keep planes in the air and stay as far away from Loftus Road as possible.
