  1. Do you remember that photo I made of the bloke going "PESKIE fishing?" I had him expressing a very similar sentiment.

What! You don't remember it? Oh, well, here it is:-

  5. Mickey Dim is surely an actor playing the part of the thick Scouser? He has to be! If he isn't, and he's for real, then the man is a living stereotype!

I have never listened to talk sport but find the whole thing rather baffling. 90% of the time I see or hear it mentioned people are slagging it off - why listen then? From what I've been told it sounds like a couple of morons down the pub speaking crap and even bigger morons phoning in becase they've taken the bait.

If it's that bad turn the bleedin' thing off.

  7. I like Hawkesby and Jacobs, and I also like Goldstein and Cundy.

And, yes, listening to the likes of Saggers, Keyes, Durham, and Dim, does wind me up, but it's like a train-crash - I know it's going to be dreadful, but I have to watch (or listen, in this case)!

Saggers, for example, has a very special gift; he can argue with himself in such a way that you truly believe there are two of him!

The only one I can't listen to - to the extent that I have to turn off the radio - is Stan Collymore.

Thanks HIAG - I understand that entirely and listen to Robbie Savagae on Five Live for the same reason you listen to Durham and co - it's especially funny when he starts arguing with callers.

The main point, however, is that I don't recall you slagging off Talksport per se (perhaps you have a pop at individual presenters or something they said but that's different). I'm really talking about those who refer to it as "Talkshit" or cosntantly slag it off even though they regularly listen to it!

.. in fairness you actually get some good pundits on there ... Danny Kelly, Ray Houghton and Andy Gray, amongst others, usually talk sense e.g this morning Danny Kelly, a passionate, Spurs fan, referred to Vertonghen's disingenuos ''Leicester play hoofball' comments as "stupid" and that "there is clearly far more to their game" ...
... but Durham in particular is a plum and the opening gambit to each of his shows is typically 'wind-up' to get the calls in ... Arsenal have been his most consistent target but he does also do others ... the one at us was that Ranieri has 'shot himself in the foot' by sticking to a 40 point target because his players are bound to 'switch ofrf' when they reach it - and so Leicester will then crumble and fall down the league "Leicester fans - aren't you worried?" ... call on blah blah ..

I don't believe anyone who says they don't listen to Talksport, yet claim to love their football. Regardless of whether it's **** or not considering you all like to post on Not606.

I love listening to My Sporting Life with Danny Kelly on Sunday evenings.

I don't mind none of the presenters and what angle they have on the game. If you like footy, you enjoy a good natter about it.

I honestly don't - but really only because I'll always listen to Five Live for all things sport and for anything else it's usually Radio 4

... if you're insinuating some form of analogy you are sadly mistaken ... you see we don't add to your bank balance when we take the time out to address your particular brand of idiocy Baldrick <laugh>

Its such a shame that no one will realise what a talented WUM you were till you are gone*
You will be sorely missed, where do I send flowers.

*just like a mediocre actor who dies suddenly becomes a great actor when the tributes roll in from other mediocre actors that you didn't realise we're still alive ! Except in your case we will start a Missing Person Alert thread :)
