I was impressed with Manga, he was by far the most entertaining player on the pitch, it's just a shame he couldn't complete the amusement with an own goal (he definitely owes Marshall a pint). It was an abject performance, which is a surprise as you've obviously got players capable of performing at a much higher level then we saw last night, is it really all about Slade and have the players given up on him?
I could have done with a Manga own goal on our Prediction League. I would have had correct result, score and no scorer in your net, having also asked the question about one of ours scoring for you.[/QUOTE]
Hull, its not even in Yorkshire !! that should get them going. Got chucked out of the East Riding some years ago.
I was catching up on tv drama and keeping an eye on the live text. Hull coasted to victory. Not without Pilkington's customary failure to hit the target with a relatively simple chance. Incidentally Peltier's foul was similar to the one he committed at Birmingham on Sky tv and got away with. Wonder if he was a marked man with opposing managers telling the refs to keep an eye on him or whether the referees have a network? Just a thought. Whatever, it was stupid of Peltier to do it and equally stupid if Slade did not warn him off.
Peltier does it every game, but he didn't get away with it last night. We've been very lucky he hasn't been pulled up before for his Jackie Pallo style of set piece defending. Nin's point about Slade apparently not warning him about that wrestling aspect of his game is also relevant - poor management that could have cost us the game. As it was, Peltier would have had to get two falls and a submission on the rest of the Hull team to have got us a result.............
Oo'er missus! You're getting this all wrong!!!! The Geordie did the f'in'.....you are simply the result!!!
As good as Marshall is, he cannot stop a penalty kick, needs to rethink his strategy when facing on...perhaps just stay upright. Amazing, how many kicks go down the middle!
I cannot think off hand of many City keepers saving penalties (not shoot out's) Moore did last season v Derby. Did Alexander ever save one? Has Marshall? Recall Ron Healey keeping one out v Sunderland back in 1979 mind
Tigers 1970....only just seen your post and am very sorry to hear about your mum. As already said, no offence was intended and, of course, had I known no post would have been made. Not an easy situation to recover from quickly I know but I hope you and yours can come to terms eventually.
