I've just looked up the Liverpool team for tonight out of curiosity. Well would you believe it, there has been some sort of Biblical miracle on Merseyside and virtually all of those injured players have picked up their beds and can walk again. All that in just 4 days. Praise be to the one on high who fixes footballers. St. Pysio Bootballus or something.

I reallly hope somebody asks that nice German Manager bloke for an explanation..........and then hammers them for fielding boys.

In fairness that was against Arsenal though Plym. I get really pee'd off with these clubs that disrespect supporters from lower league in this way. They pay over the odds for a ticket to watch second string youth players. Not stated when they buy them though to give them the chance to put a finger up to the fixture. Exeter uped their prices for that fixture. What a rip off and not really Exeter's fault either.

Never been a Liverpool fan.......when you think back to their hay day none of their present first team woul be allowed to even clean the boots of the players that they had........you could say the same regarding Man U's present team of unknowns....what have they ever done.....I won't get started on Rooney who is beating records because there ain't no real opposition to him in the United or England teams.

I know it is early in the day for some of you , but you all are cordially invited to join me for a glass of something later this evening, I might even lay on some out of date crisps as well. After 35 years 4 months and 5 days, today was my last day of ‘work’ in the Royal Navy. Start of the long goodbye- my official leaving do is at the Royal Albert Hall in early April (good of Her Majesty’s RM band to put on a concert for me) and I will be joining the ranks of the resting shortly thereafter, although with the amount of DIY lined up at home and at No1 son's house oop north, I fear it will be harder work than I am used to.
PS as an out of the closet part time Liverpool fan I don't agree with their selection policy V the 6toed but I have to say I thought last night's match was one of the best (premiership) games I have watched this season-fair play to both teams.

I'm up and moving (just) so less of the early in the day stuff. Congratulations Lyndhurst on surviving for all those years. It is never a retirement as long as a family exists and she in charge has a list (not to starboard may I add). I may join you for a glass.

Above is what I was going to say before I read the closset Liverpool thing.......:emoticon-0172-mooni

Congratulations Lyndy.....35 years plus... is a big chunk of your life to spend being mollycoddled by the tax payer.....seriously thou well done.

My father managed 28 years in the RAF before being demobbed because of health reasons (hernia problems).

I managed the obligatory 2 years N/S in the RAF of course.......plus the first 14 years of my life in married quarters...that totals 16 yrs.....

Thanks Joe though Mrs Lyndy is already snoring gently to herself in front of the TV. In fairness she is a nurse who has just worked 40+ hours in the last 4 days . Day off for her tomorrow then back in Sat/Sun- make no wonder she is tired!

She'll have her feet up and you'll have a pinny on from here on in now. According to her you will have "nothing better to do". The never ending lists of what she gives you to do will never get shorter but will never be taken into account if you forget a chore. Not organised will be the accusation and a mumbled "how did you ever lead anyone". What you need to develope is a deaf ear. It can be either one depending where she is standing at the point of speaking or both on occasions if there is any doubt. I have a book of excuses if you would like some and I've become a master of not hearing. You'll find it comes easy after a while and you will soon get the hang of it. Ignore Joe. He lives off the labour of the poor sods who work for his firm. Like a Tory Politician he pockets the profits whilst they are forced to eat cake. Never ever trust a Gas Fitter who is self employed.

I have raised a glass in salute Sir.<cheers>

Thanks, though I am already deaf in one ear(genuine) and have used it to to my advantage at times-need to think of a new ruse...

I'm a poor pensioner BC I wish I could afford Coffee let alone have a table to put it on. It's only people like Joe and Lyndhurst who can afford hot drinks. Us poor people have to drink water from a bucket straight from the river. Even that's after the horses have been there first. Thank you for the kind offer though.:emoticon-0148-yes:
