* MELTDOWN ALERT * *MELTDOWN ALERT* Leaving thread in progress http://www.not606.com/threads/captainchaos.320533/
Chaps... leaving thread is a bit lame IMHO. We do leaving threads like our team plays... Failing to live up to expectation and going out with a whimper. The best one we had was pauljohnhutch who managed to create a self inflicted meltdown of epic proportions.. Before 'leaving'.
Yeah it was lame, compared to the Sunderland board it was just a mild disagreement. When we kick off, we do it in style
We love a good leaving thread on the Liverpool board. If you do it properly it is appreciate and embrace it, much more than any comment a poster could ever put
I reckon some of the forum leaving threads could be akin to a fine red wine.. getting better with age.... The vintage ones of course have the dual benefit of a meltdown PLUS a leaving thread.
The betters ones include quotes, references, statistics, music and poems too. Ask the king of leaving threads (despite never actually leaving)... @luvgonzo
No, more of a "Look at me! Look at me! I'm leaving and I'm going out with bang" type of thing. Usually see's the person end up staying though
Sounds like they try the 'you'll miss me' but, response is usually 'go on then, **** off and don't let the door hit your arse on the way out'. Oh, well, I might stay after all, as you all don't want me to go...
Not much is offered in terms of sympathy, of course you still get the occasional soppy bollox though This one was a poor effort really... http://www.not606.com/threads/goodbye-thread-probably.320190/
That one was just someone moving from his office and being on a bit less, the music vid was ok but not enough drama overall.
I don't like half hearted attempts, it's always a big build up and then the outcome is a complete waste of time. Any ideas why I'm banned from your board?
No idea, but I wander about not paying attention to most things so you may have been a complete **** at some point or it could be an admin error.
Probably, I used to really hate scousers because my Dad is one and I've never really had much to do with him. Think it was an anger and detachment issue I'm a lot more calm with you lot these days since he's mulling over an offer of 3 million for some land that he owns. All is forgiven Daddy
I'd threaten to leave, but you'd all hold the door open for me; and that would rather defeat the entire object of the exercise, so I'll give that one a miss, thank you.
