I'd be happy with Shelvey, makes a refreshing change to the regular French league cast offs that we tend to be linked with. Besides Big Mike will see Shelvey's heed as prime advertising space....part of the potential transfer fee already paid off!
Sky Sports have confirmed deal agreed £12m He will have medical and sign today. All seems to be sorted
We are also listed in most bookies eyes to be fav's for berahino
Buzzing great signing in my opinion
Someone has hacked Chaos's account, not only did that post sound optimistic but its also before 09:30am, I doubt Chaos has ever been optimitic this early in the morning!
But I agree, he is still 23, loads of experience, lower league, liverpool, uefa cup swansea, england. probably a bit more than id want to pay, but he has a lengthy contract 2019, i would have been happier paying around the £10 mark
I'll be happy with Shelvey. I have concerns but beggars can't be choosers and he is better than what we have. Maybe if shown a bit of love and made number one he will do the job. Same goes for Beharino though I'd prefer Austin in our situ. I don't think we have any hope of either. Again though, shown a bit of love and made No.1, I'm sure Beharino will come good.
Left back and centre back are massive priorities now though, gotta stop the rot.
Im warming to the idea of berahino, I never really rated defoe as a youngster, he was explosive but his goal scoring record never set the world alight. However Defoe changed my opinion and I reckon Berahino is very much of the same mould, he could come here and do very very well and get alot of goals.
My flabber is ghasted.
A half decent player over the line. Excellent.
Some have mentioned the price. To me it doesn't matter, it's not 'our' cash but it just comes out of the Sports Direct Advertising Cost Centre Budget that is Newcastle United.
Lol I dont overlly care, however Mike Ashley has lost over £1bn over the last few weeks with a drastic decline in Sports Direct Shares going from nearly 800p per share to 350p per share.
I dont care, but if that kind of thing starts affecting our transfer business (which at this case its doesnt seem so) then I will start caring. I dont want Mike to be a billionaire, but I also know its not in my best interests to see him broke, that could cause a massive backlash! If he was so broke he had to sell newcastle, then it may be a good thing, potentially it could be worse than the exisiting regime? you never know

Shelvey looks a sullen ****er to me, and given the cloud under which he left Swansea I have grave concerns about his attitude. I don't question his ability, but I'm not convinced he's up for the scrap in all honesty.
Also, us signing him today is clearly just a tactical ploy so he can be paraded to the fans at half-time tonight when we're 0-4 down.
