Yeah I agree - £3m was far too good a price to turn down for an academy youngster who cost us nothing in the first place. Glad to see him scoring and, from what I've seen of him, he looks like he's really enjoying his football up there

It's nice to hear of a good news story just once in a while from our ex-players, especially ex-Academy kids.

It's pleasing to know that some of them can go onto successful careers.

Waghorn is absolutely horse ****. The Leicester fans still go mad about spending that much money on him and say he was league one standard at best. We robbed them blind with that one <laugh>

9 of his goals have been from the penalty spot this season.

Not bad for a free transfer to Rangers.
Good luck to the lad.

Wasn't,t he there on loan though?, impressed and they wanted to sign him
Yeah he was, just one of them things in hindsight they have realised they were shafted. They loaned him out within a few months of signing him. It's their own fault.

We have been done over enough on transfers like this, it's good to see other teams go through the same things <laugh>

When I first saw the lad I had really high hopes that he would make the break through for us, but it just wasn't to be...Good luck to the lad for his future..

Did Leicester not willingly pay the fee and if I remember at the time he was a young English forward with plenty of potential - we did not make them pay

Yes, Leicester paid the fee willingly

Yes, he was young and English

I strongly disagree about him having 'plenty of potential'

I remember him rattling the bar in front of the north stand.

He's doing well but to be fair the SPL is the a pub league and he's playing a level lower.

Probably a league 1/2 player down here
I'd say Rangers are on par with a mid-table league 1 team now and they are playing against the equivalent of our non-league clubs.

Fair play to the lad, will be good for his confidence but the standard up there is ****e.

Reckon he'll end up back in England at some point and struggle to go higher than Championship.

I'd be astonished if he's good enough for the Championship!

I meant he'd struggle in the Championship, should've put 'higher than League 1'.

But good luck to the lad. Suppose it's nice to see a local academy product getting a bit of recognition through his performances - albeit in a ****e league!!
