The King of Cheese? He's a failure in the UK and too old-school so I wouldn't pick him myself.

Then again I don't understand the support for Koeman on here when we are so, so, poor at the moment, plus if you listen to him he's got Harry Redknappitist, none of it can be laid at his door - I hate that.

As a poster you remind me of Piers Morgan - I hate that

I voted to keep him until the end of the season. I still think it's too early to be sacking him especially mid season. This is a problem I have with football (not the only one). We expect loyalty to the club but are happy to sack someone without, in my opinion, giving them a long enough chance to correct things. I know it's been a few games but it wasn't long ago we wanted him to extend his contract. It's the same with some players which we write off early. Fans can be fickle some times.

I would not be happy if we got Rodgers and I had to watch his stupid face each week (actually probably wouldn't bother) or Felix Magath who was hopeless and would probably get us relegated.

So true Whiteley.

I still have great admiration for Koeman for the good times he gave us last season and even the beginning of this.

Now is a true test of his character and should be given at least this month to prove how good he is and turn this around.

I hate myself so much for saying this, so much it is hurting me to key this in (mainly as I hate spurs so much) but I do wonder where we would be right now if Pochettino had stayed. He was the right fit and has done so well st Spurs. I like their energy and the chances he has given to younger players, developing Kane, signing Ali, dier and during their last game at Everton when they were desperate for a winning goal he brings on and has faith in 18 year old Josh Onomah for the last few minutes of the game.

I think he suited our vision the best.

No doubt. He's an excellent coach.

RAWMOK, here's the issue. Yes, give him the month - I am all for that. The problem then is if you are the Board and you have an issue with some of the off field stuff (youth players, discipline, etc, etc) what do you do about backing his judgment in the transfer market in the next three weeks, knowing he may be gone a week after that?

That's why I think Guan saying he has two games is about right. WBA is 16th, so we will be looking at a new manager now just encase. Even if it takes 5days to get a new one in that is the 21st. So plenty of time to get the players the manager wants.

that makes sense if that is the way they decide to go.

If the Board doesn't think Koeman is willing to follow the clubs philosophy in the long run, then now is the time to replace him.

Agree with this. If Koeman is going to be sacked it should be before the end of the transfer window.

That is the worst thing anyone has ever said to me in my life and probably ever will....:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Jokes..

Semi serious for a moment. I do think Koeman has admitted to getting his tactics wrong in a previous post match interview
I can't recall which defeat(there's been so many) so I thought comparisons to the anti-Christ were a little harsh.

Reed has mentioned in an interview that we have been monitoring the career of Gary Rowett(spelling not accurate) and I fully expected him to succeed Ron if the planets aligned.

Perhaps Venus is eclipsing Uranus earlier than expected

I should add that this Guan info (if correct) further undermines the board. When Koeman was appointed Les Reed was quite happy to give interviews talking about our long-standing, extensively researched managerial shortlist and Koeman's ability and willingness to bring through kids. On that score Koeman has so far been close to a total failure and Les Reed in particular has to take some responsibility for that.
