It's his one mistake. Romeu has made a ton.

We're not losing because of the formation, but because we don't have a great goalscorer around the place. Palace have had two chances and no corners that I'm aware of. Admittedly only listening, not watching so hard to tell.
I do hope Seager gets a run-out

But making a decision on him for one mistake rather than his all round performance is bizarre. Romeu has made way more sloppy errors today.

I was at Norwich and I would say he was one of our best players, particularly first half. Tackling and passing were excellent. Their goal came when he missed a tackle, but in mitigation, we were Vic-less by then.

Clasie mistake then! Well worth the money! And he's keeping an academy boy out the side!

Don't you realise that we only have two players in the pitch capable of scoring in open play (other than certain players that score once in a blue moon) and don't have a proper set piece taker on the park (so unlikely to score from one)? It makes it difficult to score even if we are on top. Palace are always happy to give the opponent more of the game anyway, they love to play on the counter. We need to revert to a back four at half time.

Problem is do we have any goalscorers on the bench, arguably the problem all season has been the lack of goalscorers in our squad and after Pelle we are threadbare, which is surely an issue of our purchases.

We don't have many goal scorers correct. So why leave Tadic on the bench (to create chances for Mane, Long or score himself) and play such a negative system? This negative system requires JWP to start really, at least then we have a proper set piece taker. And it requires a gun striker that's in red-hot form. And it's already not worked again Palace less than a month ago.

According to the stats we've had zero shots on target so far.

Unfortunately its the ones that costs the goals that count no matter how many errors... same goes for the other end with the striker who puts himself about well, dribbles through defenders but misses his chances - he is there to score the goals at the end of the day...

For me. Tadic comes on for Yoshida. Four at the back. Tadic left. Mane plays behind Long. Davis does a job on the right and interchanges occasionally with Mane.

Seager comes on after an hour if we haven't scored.

Juanmi comes on after 80 mins.

It does sound like we are playing okay, but it's just the lack of clear-cut chances. I agree with tintin, unless Tadic is being rested (which is a possibility) I just can't understand why he isn't on. He and Mane are deadly when played on either wing. Pretty negative from Koeman again to be honest.

Not seen or heard anything about it but from seeing a line up, not sure why targett and martina are playing as wing backs. Dont seem most attacking players. Would like to see seager come on but need to get back into it

Yeah I suspect he'll change it this half. The formation is not why we're losing though (I guess you might be able to argue it's why we're not winning, fair enough - though I think that's more because we lack potency up top).

I would bring Tadic on too, however he has gone missing in all the games he has started recently, perhaps he was tired?

This is why Clasie was such a poor purchase imo. We have Reed that can already do a good job at DM. Davis and JWP can do a decent job there. Then there's Wanyama and Romeu (arguably wasn't needed either, although provides a more powerful replacement for Wanyama than the others). If we hadn't bought Clasie then we could have bought a much better attacker instead of Juanmi. We've got 6 players that can play DM at the very least (Wanyama, Romeu, Clasie, Davis, Reed, JWP) which is too many for me.
