And he has fitness issues as well.
Interesting!
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has held talks with striker Mario Balotelli's agent and told him he wants the 25-year-old back at Anfield following his loan spell at AC Milan

Gotze fuelling speculation about a reunion with Klopp...
Can't see it happening though![]()
Think he would be an exciting but risky signing.
In terms of his fitness, he's played around 150 games over the past 3 years. His fitness throughout his entire his whole career has been good bar a 12-18 months spell at Milan.
Which then begs the question, what happened to him if it wasn't injury problems?
His poor lifestyle. Partying most nights and sh*gging everything that moves.
Milan only got rid of him because he cheated on his GF ... who happened to be Berlusconi's daughter.
So another player worth a **** attitude
Think he's turned it around over the past couple of years. Playing around 50 games per season for the last 3 years, and playing well.
Still salivating over the prospect of Gotze.
Isn't that in the Brazilian league though? Pretty sure he could go out getting pissed and still perform there.
I like the idea of Pato but I think it's the name rather than player. Hopefully the club have done their homework if true. No room for sentiment.
We should be splashing the big bucks on Pierre!
At the right price, it would be worth a punt. Anything less than £10m and I would go for it.
Fair enough.
Who is the CB we've been linked to? Playing in Germany that is available for free this summer?
I asked you the question the other day of whether you'd pay for his services if he wasn't free but can't recall seeing a response.
Joel Matip.
Free in the summer but I reckon Klopp could go for him in January and pay a nominal fee.
Anything less than £5m would be ok I reckon. He's a better CB than Skrtel, and a better DM than Lucas. But overall, he's not good enough to be a regular starter. As a cheap squad option, yes.
That's the one.
I tend took look at frees as 'would I pay for them'. So many frees fail. There is a reason they are available for free, what is it?
If Matip isn't good enough to be a first team player when all are fit, I simply wouldn't sign him. And that's considering the injury problems.
He'll be free because he hasn't accepted the contract offer - Schalke are keen on keeping him and will be offering an improved deal. And there are a couple of French teams who want to sign him as well.
Matip is good enough to be first team player for our current squad so I'll sign him for that reason (again, because he'll be a cheap short term solution). But over time, hopefully we'll be targeting better quality at which point, he'll become a very good squad player.
He's still only 24.
