I've got two questions: Firstly, where do people think the money is coming from to purchase all these players that many posters are speculating we ought to buy? Funnily enough, money doesn't grow on trees! Secondly, if money was available, does anyone know what leeway we have under FFP rules? I confess that I don't really understand them at all or how Derby and Sheffield Wednesday can seemingly have limitless budgets!

We're nowhere near having to concern ourselves with the FFP rules, it's calculated over three seasons and you can lose £13m a year (so £39m), but one season in the Premier League allows that to increase by an additional £35m, so we can actually lose another £61m before we've got an issue. We could buy a completely new team and still not trigger any FFP penalties.

IF Derby don't go up then the FL will hit them hard next season. Bournemouth got fined£6m-ish) recently by the FL for overspending last season. Yes I know it is only the 8th January but so far this transfer window generally has been as exciting as our game @ PNE last week.
