No manager on earth commands that kind of loyalty. You only sold RVP because he made it clear that he wouldn't sign a new contract. So, he was sold, not willingly, but sold nontheless.
Would Levy accept £50m for Kane ? Most probably. would Levy then spend £25m on that twat from WBA Barainho - probably. Then he turns out to be just a sulky twat who disrupts the team morale. then Levy would spend £20m on some unknown South American player (who would flop and be sold on 2 seasons later for £10m). then Levy has £5m towards the cost of new stadium, as he is a businessman after all
Well of course, there's always the player involved. But Levy has a long track record of selling, presumably because his players want to go on to bigger things. I think he is seen as a Chairman who is swayed by the chequebook
To an extent, every player has his price - even Messi. But, in general, Levy has only ever sold a marquee player when given no choice
.. so in conclusion then ... Kane to be sold to Real Madrid in this window with possibly Peter Crouch or Nicklas Bendtner coming in as a replacement ... .. and Dele Alli to Leicester City in the summer to fulfill his ambition for Champions League football next season .. Daniel Levy rubbing his hands gleefully whilst mumbling "never mind the quality, feel the width" ... .. and HIAG blubbing into his popcorn as Watford orchestrate a proper North London power shift number on the Spuds .. Who'd have thought it eh?
I dare say that any of our good players will go to "bigger" clubs if we don't produce CL football, but the idea that Levy is going to let our squad get raped and plundered now is simply farcical. I think we should keep laughing at these wums, rather than encourage them, NSS. And, no, Levy won't let Kane for £50 million. Who are we going to replace him with? We need another striker to support Kane, so the idea that Levy will sell Kane, forcing him to have to find a replacement, and fcuking off Poch in the process, and still needing a support striker... yeah, of course.
Of course, you've already said where it doesn't matter who the manager is, thus the 'Poch-effect' is nonsense.
..wow ... you really are a lawyer - and an innovative one to boot ... personally advising Levy on the first player lease deal in footballing history perhaps? Will it be a short or long lease and will you stipulate a reversionary interest clause?
The Poch effect is to pick the right players and build them into a team. He did that successfully at Saints and he's doing it at Spurs. That's the 'Poch effect'
I'm just in the gym mate. Testosterone is flowing, so I thought I'd just bat their silly wums into the crowd.
I don't think all of the players Levy sold for a handsome profit refused to play for Spurs. If they're under contract technically they can't. The difference between Levy and other Chairmen who don't put profit above everything else is that he weighs up when is the best time to cash in on a player instead of when is the best time for the club to let a player move on. If he thinks he can get £50million for a player one summer but potentially only £35million for him the next summer due to contracts running down, form etc then he will take the £50million. He's 100% a businessman who had no background in football when Joe Lewis bought Spurs and put Levy in charge to oversee his investment. Everton took a risk with Stones. They were offered big money for him but decided that they weren't selling regardless. If he'd had a stinker of a season or got injured then that £40million becomes £25million. Levy wouldn't take that risk.
That's nonsense! If a player refuses to play for you, how exactly are you going to make him?? Yes, Modric & Berbatov went 'on strike' Bale and his agent threatened to. All premier league owners are businessmen. You think the Glazers are soccer loving philanthropists ffs!
No, HIAG's 'Poch-effect' was Spurs players not leaving the club because of him. 'They underestimate the Poch-effect, on our players, I think they will all stay for him, as Lloris recently stated was the reason why he stayed.'
If you read the article, it went on to say that Lloris loyal to a point. He is, however, ambitious. He's happy to stay right now as he can see something being built. If it fails, he'll leave, we know that. Now, I must get back to my shoulder rows!
Stick him in the reserves. As much as I loathe the Glazers I think they let the manager make the football decisions. Hasn't Levy even got form for buying players and handing them to the manager to work with?
