I knew exactly what you meant and I couldn't agree more. I find it very wierd behaviour to change alliegence like that. Why did he find it ok to play under age football for Ireland but when the oppurtunity arised that he could be picked for England he jumped ship? For me that tells you something about ones personality and character. No thank you from me.
$£€$£€$£€$£€$£€ zero principles.

Apparently/Allegedly he opted for England because of the commercial opportunities that might follow......off course what he hasn't considered is that he might not be good enough ever to play for England..........

Yes Tramore, he is being advised by his Father and dosh is obviously his major motivating factor.

I hope he enjoys watching Ireland and England play in France in June as he sits on a beach in Ibiza because he is not good enough for either country.

I suppose he might get an advertising contract for Absolute Vodka or something similar<cheers>

My point is, he has played all his under age football for Ireland and now he has decided to change countries and play for England. If he is that committed to a country, he's hardly likely to be committed to any club, is he?

He really must be stupid, he'd have had a far better international career with Ireland. With Ross Barkley and Dele Alli the 'new' kids on the block for England he'll be way down the pecking order...

We all agree he is a very good footballer and on his day he can work magic on the field....yes we Irish are annoyed he jumped ship....He is being advised badly by father and hangers on....He is a Yong lad with a lot to learn....remember the Way Adel was ....He needs someone like Warnock to take him under his wing...maybe JFH can do it

For the record, Grealish is comfortably good enough for Ireland's squad.

Maybe he played for Ireland youth because he wasn't good enough for the England team at that level and feels now he has the potential to make the senior side. There must have been enough players who have done the opposite.

There is one small phrase that it seems can be linked to many decisions surrounding QPR over the last few years.

Inviting trouble.

Will they ever learn?

I doubt that the boy will sign for us. Probably a rumour whipped up by an agent looking to get a cut of a transfer fee.

I get it that a move to any SBC club would offer first team football, a chance to start again, and a change of expectations - but what would the attraction be to come to Loftus Road?

London's nightlife?

Didn't he play for England schools because he went to school in England. Could be wrong but I think it was a myth he was eligible for England.

You're correct Wats. It was a myth. The only international options he had were Wales and Sierra Leone. He went for the underdog on that one. There was also another myth that he chose Wales over England to piss his dad off who divorced his mum or something.
