Nick Powell released for loan by Manchester United with Preston leading the chase…. FFS… he's just the type of forward running midfielder we need…!!!!

It's actually laughable , I accept it may take a little time to get use to this division but not half way through a season , it's also embarrassing how it's a different player each week saying the same things they can't put a finger on it why performances are poor !
It's not rocket science. Wins breed confidence, breed form, breed more wins.

When our five game winning run climaxed with the result against Boro everyone said we were a cut above anyone else in this league. Now Boro are being touted as massive favourites because wins are making them believe in themselves.

Our players haven't become **** overnight. Add a couple of good results onto the back of this one and they'll be flying again.

Signing Chester back on loan would mean the end of Davies unless we go back to a back three

Then let's go back to a back three and use Elmo and Robbo to their full potential, get Abel and Diomande up front and that just leaves a bounty of CMs to choose from. We can do it without Chester, but what a bonus he would be.

Lets clear some bollocks up, no ones playing half heartedly or not putting in the effort. They're all professionals earning a lot of money for what they do. Those who have had their wages cut will want them back, they'll also want to be playing at the highest level. That means getting this club back to the premier league or playing out their skins so a premier league club takes them on. They're not going to achieve either through a lack of effort.
Not convinced Elmo is putting it all in, could just be fatigued maybe due to Bruces oddball selections where certain players (Meyler) play regardless but I'm still not convinced

Simply down to lack of effort!

Simply? Perhaps you might consider that the interviews are mandatory, the question can't be dodged, but the answer must be very carefully considered; that is if you accept that a player laying blame on his manager would be a very serious thing.

I agree to some extent but it's clearly not working with us , we followed up victories over Bolton and reading with not turning up at Rotherham , beat burnley and then put in that display at Preston ???

Elmo's getting a bit too much **** on here, he's not been as good as in previous seasons, but he's not been a complete disaster either.

I think his performances have suffered as much from us changing from 3-5-2, as they have from anything.

Agreed we should still be playing 3-5-2 with our defensive wing backs. It is the system that best suits the players we have available.

I think the end of Davies is nigh anyway - he seems to be pricing himself above what we are prepared to pay for someone of his age and talent.
