At least I'm comfortable that Pogba didn't move to our biggest rival <nahnah>

The point is that every club has sold players that turn out to be better than we thought. Selling to a rival isn't the point. <doh>

De Bruyne didn't have a fair chance at Chelsea. Jose selling him to Wolfsburg was the best thing that happened in his career as he found his confidence again. You have to watch his performance against Bayern last season to prove your 'pants' claim wrong.

Imagine if he was given a proper chance in West London. Ditto Salah.

    Hindsight is beautiful, isn't it?

But De Bryune ended up City and look at the contrasting form of Hazard. He's been key for City while Hazard faked injuries to get rid of a manager.

I wouldn't care less if Pogba move to Real Madrid or Barcelona but I'll be miffed if he go to one of Utd's biggest rivals when we had him first.

Was he playing for Chelsea against Bayern? I watched him when he played for us and that is what I meant. <doh>

Trying to be clever, aren't you? :emoticon-0138-think

Oh well, enjoy watching De Bruyne lifting the Premier League trophy while Chelsea work their way out of a relegation scarp :emoticon-0157-sun:

    Not really mate.
Just wondering what the **** De Bruyne moving to City has to do with Chelsea, like its Chelsea's fault for selling him to a rival.

He was sold abroad, to a German team, we can't help where he moves to after that.
He is a good player, whose price was artificially inflated due to one good season and the fact that the buyers have an insane amount of cash.
No one would have turned down £55m for De Bruyne, because he is replaceable, a good player, but replaceable.
We had a similar situation with Luiz. We were offered silly money for a player that we could easily replace for half the price.

At least I don't spin facts like you do. You should get a career in politics.

The difference between us is I can acknowledge the club made a mistake while you keep denying the facts even when the player you originally had is now helping your rivals.

If you knew he was worth £55m, why sell him in the first place? Tbh, De Bruyne is a drop off the ocean as part of Chelsea's policy to buy young players cheaply then sell them for a profit.

Problem is, if De Bruyne was given a fair chance at Chelsea and perform like he did for Wolfsburg, is he worth coming to your biggest rival in the Premier league?

And how were we meant to know that he would be coming to City?

We didn't know De Bruyne was worth £55m, a) Because we never played him and b) Most importantly, he ISNT worth £55m!
He is a very good player, who, when given the chance at Wolfsburg, had a very good season. He was then purchased for insane cash.
We have seen many players who have had a great season, then fail to live up to that in subsequent seasons.
Andy Carroll for instance. Great season for Newcastle, purchased for big bucks by Liverpool, then was "Meh!" for them.
Now I am not saying De Bruyne won't be a good buy for City, just that he was probably worth £25-30m at the VERY MAX, but City paid stupid money. Because thats what teams with more money than sense do, we used to operate in a similar fashion, before Roman became more Austere in his approach.
PSG and Monaco have been operating in silly fashion aswell, paying ridiculous sums for players like Falcao and Luiz.

United too, since SAF has left, has been paying over the odds for players, especially last season when they had no CL football to offer.
Its just how the game is now.

I've not denied anything. So he is at City, but you still can't tell us how we were meant to know that he would end up there, can you? I don't need to spin facts to an idiot like you pal. Quit mate, you sound worse with every post.

If you kept him and put him in the starting XI as a regular instead of selling him, perhaps he wouldn't.

Yeah I mean, how stupid of us, to not see that a kid who never played for us would move to Wolfsburg, have his price bumped up by nearly £40m in one season, and then move to City!!

    Damn it!!
