I know SB feels we can get though with what we have (clears throat!!)… but it would be good for the club to show some intent. I see Newcastle have been mentioned in the same breath as Michael Dawson..

 

I'd be tempted to test the Villa resolve with Gestede. We have more chance of being in the PL next season, plus he's pretty good in the Championship.

 

They have, some is better than others though, probably depending on your own.

 

£3.7m release clause for Demarai Gray, and in the summer we opted for Dave. That's not a criticism of Dave whatsoever, I really like him as a player, but we already had Taylor and Elmo and Gray looks real class. Would also have injected some much needed flair at the top end of the battlefield.

 

If Man U let Januzaj come back from Dortmund we ought to try get him on loan, he'd be a perfect replacement for Elmo not to mention being able to play several attacking roles

 

Think there would be a fair few prem sides willing to take him if was available

 

Maybe if we sack Steve Bruce it will apply to us, as without him we'd be a premier league club.

 

What a buy he was for Spurs.. Dele Alli… £5 million…. put a 2 in front of that now. Just scored a fabulous goal...

 

He is a cracking player. Looks like he'll be a top international player for years to come.

Alli is mobile though, plus he scores. He's class.

 

Still can't believe that flair you mention was already here, a big part of the manager's plans but the club was powerless to stop him leaving even though they held his contract for this year.

 

The problem is wages we cant offer a premier league player the same wage to play for us whilst in the championship not on a long term contract

 

What's his situation? is he still being kept on Villa's bench?

 

No he's been starting.
