You've highlighted my points brilliantly tobes, Sturridge is obviously the ONLY LFC player to be injured since Klopp has been in charge, the ONLY PLAYER.

Brilliant!

I think the best type of conversation to have with you tobes would be about the weather, or holidays, or something other than football, because your ability to assess LFC is on a toddler level, which would always just lead to stupid arguments, as you're utterly clueless.

I like to entirely forget about injuries too.
You've just described Astroturfnaut <laugh>

All the sides in the league have injuries as well btw <laugh>

I wrote a cheque. Its in the mail.

So was today a case of us playing better and just not scoring and conceding at set pieces... Or were we truly bad today?
I think a little from both columns. Had we a more suited striker playing, could have been different, I don't thnk we were awful, and looked better at times than at any period under Rodgers.

You can't blame that ****e today on injuries, that's completely delusional. Skrtel who most on here call a donkey plus Sturridge. Who else is missing who's of any genuine consequence?

I'm not claiming they don't have injuries. I am saying since Klopp has taken over, he has had injuries to deal with, which adds to the challenge of coming into a team after the season has already begun.

If BR was still in charge, I think we'd be 14/15th probably just a bit worse than Everton. Not to mention we'd be out of Europe, and all the cups.

So, I think we're going perfectly fine for the realists out there.

Henderson, Milner and all of our good strikers

Without Sturridge you've got **** all.

An incredibly average Liverpool side, given the money spent by the previous 2 managers it's incredible that you're this average.

I've seen little positive change since the intitial new manager lift from Klopp either

Very true. Everton have their best team in years too. You're 4pts behind atm aren't you?

First, there were no injuries, now its changed to this. I am truly sorry mate, but I've permanently excluded you from football conversations.

How was your last holiday, where did you go?

Hahahahaha

So you think that ****e performance today was better than ANYTHING Rodgers ever served up?

....and to think, other football fans call you lot deluded.......<laugh>

Yeah sorry lad I forgot your entire first team was injured like i.e. Sturridge

You've not even attempted to challenge a word I've said so far btw, you've just been acting like a cock.

Who's multi is this btw?

It's not Astro's alter ego is it because I don't buy this travelling bull **** lol<laugh>

saw a stat that we had 20-odd shots with just one on target. We were dire. Looked flimsy in defence, midfield was cimbersome and unimaginative, and the majority of those shots were Ford trying for worldies and just smashing it ten yards over or into the defenders' knees. Collins in their defence played well though, considering he had a 6' 3" statue chained to him wherever he went.

I don't understand, where did you go exactly for your holidays?!

Total bollocks
never mind 13-14 that performance was worse than a large number last season.
"at times"

Jesus guys, I thought the overall performance was fairly poor too, but it was errors that cost us, not being battered into submission by a superior team. We had several moments were we looked like a team.

Which holiday are you referring to petal.

You only joined this forum last month, according to your profile. So when are we talking?

Think you're missing the point of what the tweet is trying to say (and I didn't tweet it, I only saw it) It's saying you don't have to spend a fortune on players to get what you want; but if you do, you expect more and if you don't get it then there's something seriously wrong.

Compared to us - and forget the fact we beat them - Leicester seem effortless and fearless. I'm not saying that will always be the case, but what we have bought are expensive unproven players (I say unproven because a couple of above average seasons at another Prem league club - Southampton - just come up from a lower league doesn't count as proven, or from a club consistently propping up the rest of the Prem league - Villa) who aren't worth jack and no way worth the money we paid. And it shows. For all our huffing and puffing we just can't blow that house down.

So where does the blame lie?

Time for Klopp to bin off the love-in and tell this lot how it really is, or they can just **** off.

That said, for all that's been said about Benteke - and I've said plenty! - he can find the net eventually, but today he really was piss bloody poor.

That's kind of why I didn't say to disregard the line comparing the Liverpool players. Any cost to results review is entirely valid, and I do agree for those 3 players to give that return is very poor.

However, to use that original line comparing Mahrez, Ighalo, Vardy, and to say that there is value out there (ie saying that if Liverpool had gone for these players look at the potential return they could have had), means that Liverpool and its fans would need to be happy to go for these cheap, unproven players, and to play them in the first team for several years.

I appreciate you didn't write the original tweet, and I know what you're trying to say. I'm basically just criticising the nature of the comparison, in that in practical terms, those players would not be assessed as potential signings. Also as I mentioned, by its nature it is so selective that limited insights can be drawn from it.
