I think some people need to get a grip of themselves, apart from a few years in the top league we are having one of the best seasons in our history. Our recent sucess in this league has been built on a mean defence including when Mr Brown took us up not free flowing football. Lets not forget that 90% of teams who are relegated struggle in the champioship the next season even if they have so called premiership players, were two points off the top of the championship and were not playing as good as we can ,,,yes massive crisis people need to remember who we are and enjoy the season
I'm "on the fence" with this one but you do have some moot points Roger. I certainly agree with your comment on our brand of football which is absolutely woeful. To be where we are with what we have got is a minor miracle in itself and I couldn't agree with you more regarding Gray. I don't know what a change in Management would bring but today's game showed that the team are not working together and I saw 'shades of Jelavic' with Diame screaming for the ball in a goal-scoring position but was totally ignored. Hernandez took his chance like a class act but he doesn't seem like English football. What is bloody obvious is that there is not one of our current players who could cement a place in a Premier League side so if we did make it back we would need an entirely new team, which can't be done.
Bruces failure to sign Gray????????? Do you not think he wanted to sign him if the club wont pay the asking price how can you blame the manager?
CJM to Orient confirmed... http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/jahraldo-martin-joins-leyton-orient-on-loan-2879870.aspx
Because it's fashionable to be in the Bruce Out brigade and blame everything on him. Personally I blame him for no snow this Christmas
Results wise we are doing well, however the brand of football (dour and boring with zero entertainment factor) being served up is without doubt the worst I've witnessed in many a year; it's for that reason Brucey is under pressure in my view
In essence you are not wrong. I am "possession football's" worst enemy but we are forced to play this boring shi t owing to the fact that, on paper, what appeared to be very good purchases at the time, have now turned into nightmares. There were good signs yesterday of Robertson and Clucas beginning to 'click' but we don't have the coordination with the forwards. We are being closed down far too easily.
What a load of ****ing ****e. How did we play against Burnley?? Was that good enough for you? Do you expect us to play like that every game? Do you think burnley play brilliantly every game or derby. Or borough? No do they ****.
You're gonna have to quantify ''many a year'' Les? - the football we're getting now is mostly workmanlike, if it's the worst you've witnessed in ''many a year'' you've (a) not been going very long or (b) you're over-egging your argument. This really can't be worse than the stuff we got served up under Dolan and Hateley?
About 40 years. In response you are right we have over the years seen some pretty awful footie, but when the entrance fee is maybe a tenner your expectations are lower. I can remember an away game at Chester when Hateley came on and although he scored the game was awful. 1-1 I think from memory. Plus I can live to some extent with poor footie if I can see some players playing with their heart on their sleeve, i.e Brabin. Nowadays at typically c£35 a pop and players supposedly better than we have had in the past, expectations go up and for me over the last 18 months I have never come away from so many matches feeling disappointed. Yes better organised, but a team that until yesterday had not had a goalscorer during Bruceys reign that had hit double figures!
You've seen your fair share of **** in 40 years, respect for that ....... I think since 2008 everyone's expectations have gone up a notch, we do leave games feeling disappointed, difference nowadays is, we come online and bitch like a load of old women instead of going down the pub and doing it!
The Battle of Bramall Lane. Billy Baxter and Ken Knighton made their debuts from memory. four pints before the match, a bun fight during the match, a 2-1 win, though we still screwed up promotion wise, then another four pints afterwards. It's maybe an age thing!
**** me i never went down that far Shall we just be negative about everything we do then, Huh only 36.
Rotherham have signed defender Shay Facey on loan from Man City. Shelvey has been left out of Swansea's squad today, amid rumours that a deal has been agreed with Newcastle. Scunny have signed Udders defender Murray Wallace on a 3 1/2 year deal.
