Is he that good? Hasn't pulled up any trees for Palace?
Him, Emnes and Eder as our strikers for the rest of the season would worry the hell out of me. I'd be all for a loan like that if we had a Bony in our squad already.

Actually, I've got a feeling that Bamford could do a job for us<cheers>
I could see it as the second striker, yes he is keen but never scored a pl goal. big risk to ask him to be the one to get us enough goals to stay up and lead our line. Then I see he goes back to Chelsea and Palace are now after Remy who has scored lots of PL goals. Smacks of the cheap option again.

I agree - I'd rather a Cisse or a Remy, or even Bony back on loan. But, will Huw pay the money?

That is behind the quality players of Chamakh and Wickham. I don't think Chamakh has scored this year and Wickham has 1 in 9, So why hasn't Bamford been given a go.

Hasn't Chamakh been injured? Pardew bought Wickham - so needs to justify his decision by playing him. Didn't Bamford allude to that?

He did in that he couldn't understand why he was not getting game time as Wickham hasn't been scoring. I can understand his frustration, but am not sure he is the man to lead our line. If Gomis does go I believe we still need 2 strikers and Bamford as one of them would be ok.

Can't disagree with that<cheers>

I'd only worry if Ader and Emnes got actual game time and came up empty , I worry about walking past paid unused players to get replacements is a mistake
Someone seen something in Emnes, Tabanou and Eder to pay to bring them in , let's see what they have .
Most are basing new transfers on our play while Monk was in charge without these players getting a sniff , but it's obvious to me this is a different squad with Monk gone ,
I say give them a chance before we spend to much more on more players without really knowing they will improve us .

I like Emnes, Eder impressed in the few minutes we've seen of him. Those two I think are good enough as back up strikers etc, but we need someone of Bonys quality leading the line, especially given our current situation.

Like I say valley , I won't give the thumbs up or thumbs down to any player till they play enough to draw a conclusion on if they need to be replaced or not or dropped in any sort of pecking order.
