Where are Terry and Matt when you need them, I assume they were actually at the game, I'd like to read their comments. Completely ****ed up season, again, in my opinion. Ramsey and Ferdinand had the rules changed on them because we didn't sell a bunch of players who are probably not worth much anyway. Expectations raised all round for a mid table at best team. Zero development of youth. I'll see for myself on Monday,
According to Hasselbaink's post match presser we lacked belief and didn't concentrate for the final 30 minutes. http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/j...h-town-qpr-sky-bet-championship-2868991.aspx?
Very disappointing result today Had that sense of foreboding when Fer missed what should've been the chance that made it 2-0 Thereafter Ipswich really grew into the game and started stretching our back 4 all over the place. They also rumbled our weak link at the back (Konchesky) and much of their play came down our left We've gone from recovering from being behind to gifting late goals in the last couple of games I was disappointed at our play up front again today - Polter was very poor to start with but started the second half much better, holding the ball up well and distributing accurately. But Fer was very ineffective (bar the cross for the goal) again today, and I really don't think that he should start on Monday Both Junior and Matty played well I thought - lots of energy, some good runs, and (for Junior) a really well worked goal Ale really seemed to tire second half again and I was surprised that JFH didn't substitute him Just our luck to meet Huddersfield when they're on a nice little run Roll on Monday though, and JFH's first win!
As much as i love charlie life without him is inevitable, better we get what we can for him in january and get a couple of young premiership players stuck in their U21 squad as temp replacements.
Can you explain your actual problems here? I don't get your logic. Were you adamant we should have accepted the £12m for Austin from Leicester in July? Because no one else bid for him Do you honestly think a side with Austin, Sandro and Faurlin is mid-table at best?! Fer this year's biggest let down didn't leave because he failed a medical. The only one we held on to was Phillips. But there was a lot to be admired about that stance as well. Ramsey was a bad bad manager we were still mid-table when he left so maybe aiming higher if we had a decent manager honestly ain't that unreasonable. As for youth. Petrasso got games recently and the other few ok-ish youngsters have done what they should and got games at a lower standard. Our youth team is pony. There's not any talent to bring on
I think there's plenty. Harriman, Furlong, Kpekawa, Luongo, Gladwin and Doughty are all 23 or younger and there are plenty more too who at least are worth a chance. The problem is we've brought in a lot of mediocre senior players who the manager seems to be obligated to pick.
I don't often find myself in agreement with you but here I am! Although, my take wouldn't be so full of frustration. Yes... we were actually looking forward to this promise of solidifying, developing some of our own players, getting the club in order and then... old "stars in his eyes" Fernandes sees visions of premier league title again. I've been a lot happier this season than I have for a number of seasons, with regards to watching the football and seeing how things unfold. But I am not a fan of Fernandes. He may be a perfectly nice bloke in normal life but as a football club owner he's a nightmare. Since he joined so many bad things have happened. The best surface level example of that is the fact that, for two seasons running, we've had kits that are pretty much exactly NOT what the fans wanted. That's an indictment of how he's been... he can't get simple things like that sorted out. Even the two Italian knobs have a better record than him.
I'll pass on your request thanks Damage. Engaging in an online debate with you is the most pointless and least festive thing I can imagine when there is the last of the port to be polished off. Cheers!
Unlucky boys it was a very closely fought contest but I think we just about deserved it especially on our second half performance. There will be many twists and turns before the end of the season I expect that you boys will be in the play off mix come last knockings. You have far too much quality no to be. I hope those who made it to Suffolk have all got back safely and I wish you all the best for the season.
Inevitably if - and I think that the likelihood is growing somewhat - we remain in the Championship for the 2016/17 season we will see a lot of players leaving either out of choice or because we simply can't keep paying for "big names" who aren't delivering The club MUST (in my opinion obviously) start building for this future before the end of the season by getting younger players that could have a good future with us playing regularly, even as substitutes. I want to see players who really want to play for us and want to prove themselves, not just players just here to pick up their (inflated) wages. A fellow supporter criticised me at Ipswich today for being too negative about the team, but, frankly, we weren't very good for much of the game. Given our squad we could, or rather should, be getting rather better results than we have been, and as paying fans (and I've said this before) we should be demanding more Getting back into the PL isn't going to be quick, but at least let's try to play some exciting and entertaining football in the meantime whilst trying
Thanks JWM Frankly a very poor quality game today, with both sides making an incredible number of basic, unforced errors We are destined to meet again in the Championship next season.........
I fancy Ipswich to make the playoffs. A team which is far better than the sum of its parts thanks to an excellent manager while we are far, far less than the sum of our parts.
When are some on here finally going to admit we're just not good enough? We may have 'names', players with PL experience, but they weren't good enough to stay in the Premier League and it appears they're not good enough to get us back there. The window will give us an insight as to whether we are coming to terms with reality or still living in TF's 'fantasy world'...
Agreed Watford But I think the play-offs will be Town's limit this season I've always liked MM though - straight talking manager
