thats might be fair. I think its been poor personally for a long time compared to even 5.. well 7 years ago. I think ok if he feels he needs to do something there and it s more than changing the colours of the nets like rodgers fine. but do it all the time now. make it a thing cos if you only do it once... well it will make him look bad.

It was about timing, in my opinion. He was disgruntled after the Palace game as supporters were leaving before the end of the game - ****ing rightly so. He made the point in the post-match that the game isn't over until the final whistle and people shouldn't therefore **** off, but get behind the team.

In the match in question, the crowd didn't **** off and got behind the team - and we scored the equaliser. THAT was his point. YOU, the crowd can make a BIG difference. I commend him for it, and the rival fans taking the piss can **** right off. Whatever they're saying, the mancs would give their right arms to have him as theirs <ok>

I think ok after palce he made comments.

he did however apologise for them (no doubt heard it wasn't taken too well or club thought so)

he then asked for a big athmosphere in europa and in this game.

Its fine to make a statement but you know... back it up on the pitch like.

course the mancs would... of course... same as we'd love to have a whole new 11 for him TODAY to get going but only time will tell about this clappy stuff.

I'm sure some player will have it in his book in 2 years time... its just a question of the context of what he's done in 2 years time... as of today like looks small time..

get over it LFC fans!

My point is if it appears fake to the players the sheen will quickly wash off him. if you get it wrong you can lose credibility.
Why would it appear fake? I don't get that.

He's trying to build a relationship between the players, himself and the fans, a kind of 'we're all in this together' atmosphere. Which is how it should be. He recognises that. He wants to have the backing of the fans not just when we win but more importantly when we lose, when it matters more. He doesn't want fans leaving early and has said it's up to the players to play in a way that keeps us there, they did that on Sunday. The place was the loudest I can remember in a long time which means as fans we're listening to him. Go and look up some youtubes showing what the Dortmund fans felt about him when they were 3rd from bottom, their reactions and warm hearted ways they speak about him puts our 'sack him now' fan culture to shame. He doesn't crave personal attention like some, what he wants is a successful team and happy fans - that happens, it means more to him than any awards, personal accolades or medals.

If they don't do it again or it's simply a thing about a late goal "inspired" by fans then it looks fake to the res tof the world. the context of this is fair to say

a) he asked for a big athmosphere.... before the game the "commentators" and "journalists" were talking like WTF is he on about now its west brom for chuff sake. Ok fair enough to LFC fans we might see it as he's trying to get everyone going.

b) the game itself was a wet affair. ****e performance which 2 really bad goals to concede and from the situations klopp admitted he'd expected west brom to focus on. We played really badly after taking the lead and having the amount fo ball west brom were willing to surrender to us deliberately. theyve had 30/35% all year.

c) we score a ****ty deflected gaol after running out of ideas AGAIN in the space of 3/4 games we've done the same.

d) the crowd stayed but it was not 0-2 it was 1-2 and 8 mins extra. we scored.. great.

so what happens... we do a line that looks like the players celebrating a cup over here... fine ok we have now seem pics of the exact same thing at dortmund fine.... ok so.....

To me LFC is not about 2-2 v west brom. in the past we'd be embarrassed by it. if we'd played a dull 0-0 you guys seem to be saying saying it seems we would not go thank the fans even if they stayed and sung for 98mins..... i;m hearing either it was in the moment or it was somehow organised as henderson was getting the players in the line.

what is it? Pros should be embarrassed to lose two ****ty goals after having 70% possession and losing the lead

........................

now finally.. what LOOKS and what klopp is can be two different things. I don't get what the big deal is with that. He can miscalculate the impact and find during the week actually his squad didn't feel right (I hope the lot were embarrassed but i dunno if there's a winner amongst them) he might find next time applauding over by the kop would be better than the dortmund way.. who knows.

I fully realise what he's after but you can't really fix the crowd and serve up such performances. the crowd and only do so much!

One thing you cannot say about Klopp is that he's fake.

can LOOOK fake... <laugh>

you cannot stop people filing this as something to throw back in our faces in May cos the reality is we aint good enough to really get any more than 6th.

You also cannot stop a player going.. meh this guy is a joker... and not doing the required work rate all 11 need to make to be the difference between midtbale and achieving something... that's the thing. they are spoiled brats really. So we will see.

No matter what your opinion is about Sunday's mutual love-in with the Kop I think we're all agreed that Klopp is an excellent manager for LFC.
He's a little bit eccentric, but as saint said lets give him a couple of windows and time to get his feet under the table properly.
He's charismatic and looks determined to as jb said strengthen moral and a sense of togetherness throughout the squad.
He's sociable and approachable as has been seen in town when he mixes with the locals in pubs and eateries etc, that's something never seen since back in the Shnkly era when the great man attended local footy games on the park and never refused to talk to anyone that wanted to have a chat.

All in all he's just what the doctor ordered......wunderbar jurgen.<ok>

fair. whispers (just cos he meant it doesn't man it might not have been a little bit ott and a mistake)

rodgers would have his pressed suit with trousers two sizes too small trying to look fashionable at the same time.

MITO. I haven't been a regular match goer in twenty odd years. marriage, kids and difficulty in getting tickets. Prior to that, I went regularly. I NEVER ****ed off early from a match and always sang my lungs out. I'm more cynical than most and it would be easy to deride this on the back of a 2 - 2 draw. However, as said, it was about the timing. I get the impression that one of the reasons Klopp bought into Liverpool was 'The Famous Anfield Atmosphere' and the passion of its supporters. He seems to me to be very much that kind of bloke. It was genuine and I applaud him for it.

We've got a world class coach in who fully understands what football is all about and the importance of the fans and connecting with them.

Enjoy the ride.

I really don't care what it looks like 'to the rest of the world' and I'm sure you don't either. Since when has anyone's opinion outside of LFC bothered us? If you were part of the Kop on Sunday you'd have a different view. Lads were coming out buzzing, why, because they were starting to feel a connection an appreciation that's not been there for a long time. It's not just hollow words. Unless of course you don't think a satisfied, motivated, pumped up Kop is going to make any difference. Where's that 12th man spirit?

sure.... as long as things are going along fine it doesn't matter.

its when 2/3 times where the pressure comes on and you need the credit in the bank... after southampton 6- game klopp could walk on water according to redknapp. I was laughing at the gobshite. thats credit in the bank though... but what happens if we take another couple of bad results to add to that last ones like swansea, newkie, west brom..... this stuff then starts to matter and add up.

I'd like the 12th man to make a difference. rodgers own first boast on the day he came was to make coming to anfield a very hard day.... despite the crowd... west brom did not have a hard day did they?

Off Topic: something very weird just happened, I clicked on next page and as it came up there were adverts at the top. The system had logged me out, not only that, when I tried to log back in it said there's already someone with the username johnsonsbaby please choose another name <yikes> I had to shut down and start again.
