Tony Evans has been bitter since Kenny got binned off, and he lost his job at The Times.

He was adamant Klopp wouldn't be joining LFC because of the committee structure in place.

  2. Can't you tell the media and opposition fans have been waiting for Klopp's first slip up. Its almost a "this will do lads, we've waited long enough" <laugh> <doh>

Thing is, Klopp did **** up on Sunday and it's been ignored... he refused to sahke Pulis' hand at the end!

You've got this wrong mito. I accept you didn't like it and the players looked like they thought it was a call to clap the fans like they did at city and in Russia but as soon as they break the line after the 'salute' Milner goes straight towards Klopp and shakes his hand. Henderson is calling the players into line and already linked hands with the two players nearest him before Klopp starts it off.

It's one of the reasons foreigners think we're all cold fish, the lack of showing emotion. Maybe it's not going to translate into this country - as Klopp said in his post match - but the Kop loved it and responded well. It's a passionate game why be afraid to show that.

I think i've it pegged is all. It'll take time to develop the side. I'm not writing any one player off under klopp but theres lots of work to be done I can tell you.

Not sure I'll find documented evidence. I'll have a look for pictures later. My other half is German and I've had the privilege to go to 7 Dortmund games over the past few years or so. Every game the players would go to the fans to cheer and thank them, even when they lost.

Like I said though, Klopp is fully aware of the dreadful attitude of fans leaving early, sitting quietly and generally not supporting the team correctly. So I am all for his methods to get the fans in the right frame of mind.

Then do it every game as i said. we've had plenty of home games to start before now so we will see if it gets repeated.

I'm all for his methods. I was one of the first to say rodgers lucked out and he shoud have gone 13 months ago now... and told lads to get their chins up this summer etc and said klopps name. I like him but i'm not going to make him a deity as he wouldn't do it himself.

he should have started this crack day one not 2-2 embarrassing performance at home v west brom who had ****e all to offer.

Fair point but we must remember he's still getting used to the country and culture.

He probably felt that the last thing he needed to worry about was the atmosphere before coming.

He can't be expected to do everything right away.

But he didn't, and we can't turn back time, so maybe better late than never.
Presumably you're suggesting that he then should wait for a decent performance before he starts it? But that's only if you fall in with the crowd trying to make out it was a celebration- which it wasn't.

I think he was shocked by how crap the atmosphere is and only just now had some good atmosphere so got the players to acknowledge it. Since game 1 he has had issues with it and rightly so.

thats might be fair. I think its been poor personally for a long time compared to even 5.. well 7 years ago. I think ok if he feels he needs to do something there and it s more than changing the colours of the nets like rodgers fine. but do it all the time now. make it a thing cos if you only do it once... well it will make him look bad.

almost would have been better to lost 2-1 and do it then. the late goal makes it look like they did celebrate a draw.

I'm not sure how this would go down at bayern for example... any insights form those who watch german kickball? big teams (which we want to be) don't expect anyhting bar a win so standing round appluading each other after a ****show isn't ideal

    thats all....

you are right he can't turn back time but i'd strongly suggest he keeps it up from now on in.

Haven't seen it. I don't think there's anything wrong to show appreciation to the fans. I believe this is the first time you guys have had a last minute winner / equaliser since the palace game right when he had a go at people leaving early? Makes sense to have done it now then if they stayed til the end

yup... nothing wrong with showing appreciation at all.

maybe do it a new way not replicating a dortmund way... or is it the klopp way i dunno... not everything can be copied and pasted across.

Its maybe the first late goal but the swansea game was poor and we crawled through a 0-0 until we got a gift pen. (it was cos the ref was not going to give it so a brave linesman did) I would say that would be one that this coudl have been done at. the crowd stayed there.

he asked for a special crowd for bordeaux too and that was another chance.

It's not an every game thing - it's something Klopp has done with Dortmund a handful of times when he felt the occasion warranted it [I guess the weekend's game felt like one of those to him] - so don't expect to see it every week or every home game. He comes on the pitch after each game to shake hands with the opposition and our players alike and he's already made a point of taking the players over to the travelling fans to applaud them several times.

He's doing what comes naturally to him, not what's natural to you or anyone else. It's part of what makes him different, like him not watching penalties - I've said before that he's not like any other manager we've had and that's a good thing in my view. You don't like the outward show of emotion and that's fine, you don't have to <ok>

My point is if it appears fake to the players the sheen will quickly wash off him. if you get it wrong you can lose credibility.

Given that his aim is to create a greater sense of togetherness between the players and fans, I find it ironic that he's getting stick from some of those fans. I think that if he saw some of the negativity on this board he'd be spitting blood. <laugh>
I agree with this. I have been consistently calling bad performances when I've seen them.

So....maybe Rodgers wasn't so poor at getting the best out of these players after all, perhaps it's them.
Of course Rodgers has to shoulder a lot of the blame for buying them in the first place, if that's the case.

However, why don't we give Klopp some time and a window or two before condemning him as soon as an opportunity arises?

In the end as i aid at the start of LAST season signing balotelli was a sackable offense.

rogers rightly got his... much much later than deserved and all.

Who's condemning klopp... I'm his biggest supporter... not fan boy.. .supporter. he's not god and its reality to say we will end up 6th and have to spend next two years once again rebuilding. thats just how it is.
