good. first klopp buy. now its time to figure out if he is any good. I think we'll see more of this type of buy this year. lets face it the way Mahrez is playing at lecester shows what development is all about. A ligue 2 player in france joins a championship team in england and does "ok" in first year in prem then he explodes into prominence. Its possible to find em and klopp is all about developing them so this boy i hope is more than.. " the serbian joe allen".. in 3 years time.
Let's hope not. Managed to watch a few of his games. Highly talented - will be interesting to see if he can adapt, if he arrives.
Let's hope so. We have some very talented players already who may develop into top 4 quality - Origi, Markovic, ilori, Gomez.
I made the comment in jest. I know nothing about him. I have seen several articles over recent weeks saying we were trying to sign him. I also read we were unlikely to get him as he was determined only to go somewhere if he was going to get regular first team football. Either Klopp sees him as good enough now to join first team, or he convinced him to join anyway.
19 years old........6'4.........plays centrally in midfield,DM or AM..........lots of big clubs interested
Very talented and is bossing the Serbian league - it may not be a strong league but to do that at his age is very impressive.
big mays.... two of them have a **** lod to do to get to that level but thats another conversation. in the end on this boy.. he is big, i think klopp sees what rodgers refused to.... and Gerrard alluded to in his comments when aspas and alberto turned in.. 10 stone eaklings like them, lallana and allen cannot compete in the prem really. You need the physique. at 19 he looks at least reaosnably powerful and a good runner. after that who knows.
He's box to box. We still need a DM - hopefully we bring in Ruben neves, rotate with Can and Henderson. Tasty looking midfield.
need a hungry player who is phyiscially right for the league. this is what arsenal have failed to do for years and years. this season coquelin came back after the summer looking like he thought he was it and dropped his perofrmance right off. He's the closest they have to a proper guy in there! LFC hungry players who won't buy the crap like even matic has done. work comes first IMO. Can himself said after germany u21s got thumped he believes his own hype.... good lesson to learn if you learned it emre especially if you did so out of lfc red.... so far he's not shown too much big time attitude.
I've learnt to not get too excited by the next big youth signing until they arrive and start playing well.
Hate to say I told you so, btw. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...l-told-1-chance-playing-Bayer-Leverkusen.html Still don't understand why we didn't take a punt.
Good to hear @danilo. thoughts on him. Hadnt heard of him until we were linked, seems a big lad, real presence in the midfield but comfortable with the ball at feet. Decent in in the air as well
we would probably have got a similar response to when we tried to sign heinze, or they try and sign one of our players, a big F*ck off. always liked him myself and wished we could have got him, shame the bitters couldnt have brought him short term, could have got him that way
Hes no doubt a great little player and 2/3 years ago I thought he was exactly what we needed. Someone to put away all the chances we are creating.... Problem is he doesn't really get involved in build up and at the moment I don't se e how he'd fit as Benteke is similar in that respect. No doubt give him a chance in the 18 yard box and he'd finish it for you though.
He'd definitely be different that benteke for me. He might not be as strong but hes much more explosive with his runs and you know he will be making darting little runs all the time.
