The Dippers are currently patting each other on the back for having a manager and team who recognise that the fans need to be acknowledged and applauded. As some of you may know, this weekend some Liverpool fans stayed until the end of the game and the team, instructed by their manager, went over to the Kop, linked arms and celebrated the fact that, as Liverpool had left it so late to nick a draw at home to West Brom, the stadium was still reasonably full at the final whistle. By all accounts this was the first example of a set of footballers being aware of people being in the stands and giving them a clap for their support. Personally I dispute that and I have trawled through the interweb archives to find a picture of footballers wearing the shirt of the club I support giving the fans a round of applause. Has this ever happened at your club?

The Pool one after their Herculean effort to snatch a last minute draw against WBA, was sort of saying; "We know we played ****, and you think we're taking the piss with all the money we get paid, but we thought if we came over and did this empty gesture you might not chuck stones at our Bentleys as we leave the car park!"

I think you may be right. However, a number of Liverpool fans have decided that it is yet another example of why it is such a special club. Anfield is a cathedral, it's like being part of a family etc. Has there ever be an example of the players applauding the fans at WHL?

I sense a longing, a cry in the night from a child wanting nothing more than love. If LVG would just look in my direction and give me a cheeky wink it would be enough, it would be something.

Brilliant isn't it.

The likes of Jimmy "never been to a game in me life", extolling the virtues of this amazing new gesture of togetherness that's going to take the pit from a library full of day trippers to a cauldron.

He's now trying to make out that Klopp did this every week at Dortmund <doh>

Klopp does indeed 'get them', he's 'got' the fact that they're a set of deluded bells who lap up overblown bollocks like this as it plays to their misplaced sense of being 'special'.

If Martinez did that at Goodison in the same circumstances, we'd ****ing slaughter him, as would they have done if Rodgers had done it.

But Klopp is immune as they've still got him pegged as the Messiah. Set of cult members honestly <laugh>

Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is ready to "run more" after having a "man conversation" with boss Jurgen Klopp.

[Scene: LFC dressing room. The squad is huddled around Klopp, who is pointing to a tactics board]

Klopp: "Zo! As I voz zaying, ven ze ozzer side move up, ve must attack! Iz zat verstanden, ya?"
Squad: "Seig Heil, Meine Herr!"
Benteke: "Fuhrer? What is that little dot at the front of our attack? It's just that, I've seen you move all the other players around, but that little dot always seems to stay where it is!"
Klopp: " Yah, I voz hoping zat you would notice it! Zat ist you! Und ze reason it alvays stchays still ist because you never move! Aber, Ich habe ein plan!"
Benteke: "Will it get me scoring goals, Fuhrer?"
Klopp: "Zat ist ze general idea, Dumkoft!
Beneteke: "So, what is the plan?"
Klopp: "Vell, vot I vant you to do ist to move your legs really fast, and move from here to here!"

[Klopp draws an arrow on the tactics board, showing that he wants Benteke to "hunt" around the 18 yard box]

Benteke: "You mean you want me to run, Fuhrer?"
Klopp: "Mein Gott! Ze penny has dropped!"
Beneteke: "When do you want me to run, Fuhrer?"
Klopp: "All ze ****ing time, of course!"
Benteke: "What!"
Klopp: "Yes, zat ist correct! All ze ****ing time! I vant you to get your lazy fat arse into gear and do ze ****ing job zat zis club pays you to do!"

Liverpool move closer to the Spuds with a win tonight.
Will Klopp add a couple of players in Jan, get the team playing how he wants them and eventually overtake Spurs in the second half of the season ?
 
Poch, I am certain, will keep his eye fixed firmly on winning the title, this season. We've got as good a chance as any. We're only 4 points behind Arsenal, who we completely out-played, when we last met, and they usually do a bottle-job in the final third of a season. It's probably, therefore, going to come down to a straight fight between us and Leicester.

If the bottle-job comes early, this season, it will be Arsenal who will probably be fighting it out with 'Pool for top 4 spoils.
